Then she clearly has the attitude of "this is an idiot who will die in minutes if left alone" and so spends the rest of the serial killing people to protect him and looking extremely exasperated when he tells her not to kill people. This only reinforces the attitude of "this is an idiot who will die in minutes if left alone".

Then at the end her people elect her as their leader, she goes "absolutely not" and runs after the Doctor. When he refuses to take her with him she just barges past him into the TARDIS and starts pressing buttons until it takes off while the Doctor's kind of just helplessly protesting in the background.
