The spn/x-files crossover had me like đ and I would love if you'd share something from or about it!
Iâve been writing this off and on since 2009. I started it so early on in SPN that Cas wasnât around so I didnât have a role for him in it.
Itâs self-indulgent đ as are several fics Iâve been writing since the first three seasons.
Itâs not very long at the moment, but itâs one of those fics that I like to daydream about a lot.
Sam and Dean are on a case, and Dean lost rock paper scissors so he had to dress up as the hot chick to lure in what they think is a supernatural being that preys on sex workers.
They donât realize the FBI is also on the case, Mulder pushing the supernatural angle, but of course Skinner and Scully are convinced itâs a guy with issues who murders sex workers.
They meet up over one of the dead bodies, Skinner knowing full well who the Winchesters are, having followed their career with a suspicion they werenât the horrible men law enforcement made them out to be because all the âvictimsâ theyâd interviewed told them the Winchesters were the reason they were still alive.
Dean tries to continue in-character, but Skinner isnât having it.
For reasons, Sam and Dean end up staying with Skinner at his place for a while. Mulder and Krycek are in a discipline relationship with Skinner and live with him. I dunno if youâve ever read the Danville Series by Cadillac Red, but I I was deep into that at the time.
Skinner decides that the Winchesters are going to get themselves killed if they arenât more careful and donât have some support, so he kind of adopts them and his place becomes a home base for the boys just like Bobbyâs house. They canât have too many parental figures, amiright?
Itâs self-indulgent in that I wanted an excuse for some Skinner-on-Dean and Skinner-on-Sam manhandling, discipline, and caretaking thrown in because the boys definitely needed it.
Hereâs a snippet from the fic:
Dean was about to turn around and head out when he saw Sam's eyes widen. Before Dean could do anything about it, he was grabbed by the neck and slammed into the wall, the hair from his wig falling around his face.
He looked up to find the guy from the bar had him by the throat. Walter. Deanâs instincts had been right. Walter wasnât just some guy who thought Dean was pretty, flirting with him to get under his skirt.
âFreeze!â another man barked from the doorway, stopping Sam in his tracks. Sam raised his hands in the air, eyeing the gun and the determined, dark look in the manâs eyes.
âWait! Â We didn't kill her!â Dean said, reaching up and wrapping a hand around Walter's wrist, glad that Walter wasn't trying to choke him and instead just keeping him in place. Dean could work with this.
âI didn't say you did,â Walter said, âbut you obviously know more than the average person coming in here to take a piss.â
âI just had to-â Dean started, but was cut off when Walter's hand gave his throat a warning squeeze.
âNow, sweetheart,â Walter drawled as he leaned in even closer, âI really don't think you should be lying to me right now.â
