Tom Riddle has little doubt that he would hold the power once he found his own soulmate. He would top. He would command. He had already defeated death; Lord Voldemort would bow to no one!
But then he meets Harry Potter.
Harry Potter, the stereotypical, Quidditch-loving, boisterous, ambitionless Gryffindor. He had a lazy demeanor, willing to simply go with the flow rather than assert himself. Harry Potter should be the submissive one of their pair.
However, Tom had split his soul while Harry’s was still whole, and Tom quickly learned that this made all the difference as to who held the power in their relationship.
