Vessel drawing and two finds- seabird bone and a ceramic bottle top. Love this drawing- I felt like I was pulling the form out of the splash of pigment. It’s good to get back to drawing and finally feel something can be alive. The seabird bone is interesting- I’m assuming it’s a bird bone - very light and looks like it connects to vertebrae. Art for Global Goals: Gagosian is pleased to participate in ART 2030 New York, a new, annual citywide initiative uniting the contemporary art world in support of the United Nations’ 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
Gagosian, ART 2030, and BOTTLETOP will host a panel to kickoff the event, which will focus on Global Goal 5, Gender Equality. Johanna Burton will moderate the discussion, and speakers will include Mary Weatherford, Ulla Tørnæs, Cameron Saul, and Hadeel Ibrahim.
