Amtrak's Pioneer Makes Its Station Stop at Borie, WY, 1993 -- 5 Photos by Marty Bernard Via Flickr: In 1993 the Pioneer was a Chicago to Denver (cars on the California Zephyr) then on the Union Pacific to Ogden (with a bus connections to Salt Lake City), then on to Boise, Portland, and finally to Seattle. In the process it by-passed Cheyenne, WY. Borie, WY served as the Cheyenne station with a bus connection. If there ever was a "no place", it's Borie. It didn't get any better than this in Borie! The last train stopped there in 1997. My photos are of the stop and bus connection at Borie of Train 25, the Pioneer, on September 12, 1993.
