Bomushika from the Pokemon Gold Spaceworld Demo is definitely a great idea but it seems to lack the polish it might get nowadays. Took a swing at the idea and I feel like this guy has a good, mid-stage starter vibe going on.
In that vein I added a prevo and an evo when I drew this guy and they came out alright but this is the one i’m particularly fond of.

Bomushika/Bomseel
Both of her sprites only showed her from behind, so I decided to try and see what a front view would look like. Bomushika... She’s got kind of a plain design, to be honest. She’s just an orange seal with a bomb, and since there was already a seal Pokemon in Gen 1, and one of the Gen 2 beta starters was also seal-like, there’s not much unique to her. At least she’s got her bomb.
Bomushikaa GSC Sprites
An unreleased mon from the GS SpaceWorld '97 demo. Bomushikaa is Water + Fire type and number 224 in the beta GS Dex. Thought I'd try it with different colour schemes. Can't decide which I prefer.
