It’s been a little over a month since the fires began and the holidays have now passed. I finally had a full day to myself to reflect and process everything that has happened and now we await the rain and hope for no landslides...🤞to say this month has been exhausting is an understatement. Here’s a few photos from the past month experiencing the fires, volunteering with @helpcalifornia, the benefit at @topatopabrewingco, and the holidays with Robin ending with some solitude on the Kern River. It’s hard to express the gratitude I’ve felt during this surreal and humbling experience and I am fortunate to be part of such an incredible and resilient community. I took a drive recently through the area and the severity is real but I feel even more in love with the community I moved to over 5 years ago ❤️. So many small businesses were affected during this last month and I’m extremely lucky and grateful to still have my work studio and home standing! I am overwhelmed with the amount of support from family, friends, my job at @topatopabrewingco , and the community. I want to say a big THANK YOU to all of you near and far!!!! This past year has been one I will never forget...it has been a year filled with many personal and business learning journeys. This year I turned 30 and I feel it’s been one I’ve grown the most 🙏 !Although the fires are now gone we’ve got rain to worry about. Today was the day to get back in the studio, clean up, and begin working again on orders but currently I’m placing sandbags around my space in hopes it does not flood 🤞 Keep up the positive vibes Ventura, Ojai, Carpinteria and Santa Barbara and help a neighbor in need ❤️ Again, thank you for all of your support, patience and understanding while I try to get back in business! #venturastrong #carpstrong #805strong #ojaistrong #thomasfire #boltwest

Although I am unable to attend most of the planned makers markets for this holiday season due to the #thomasfire, I will be at the @topatopabrewingco Helping Hootenanny with Bolt West. I’m still at a loss of words as I clean my studio and think of the last 8 days...😢💔I am grateful for my community and friends reaching out with open arms and that I am able to go to a studio and home that is still standing🙏🙌 SO humbled by the community, family and friends support right now.
