Title: Sins of the Children

Note: Sequel to Children of Misfortune; Entirely asexual cast of main characters

Genre: Fantasy/Adventure

Summary

After the civil war that only lasted a day but took the lives of thousands, the nation of Duestea must pick up the pieces and learn to trust each other again. While some can do this easily enough, others like Ezra Cosovei cannot. As Ezra tries to carve out a place for himself in a world he no longer believes in, he and his new companions discover a plot to restart the war and must stop it, if only to allay their own guilt.

Main Characters:

Ezra Cosovei - Recently resigned soldier from Lepaka’s army, Ezra is a 23 year old human. He doesn’t trust anyone (for good reasons, and especially not those in power) and has no compulsion to be a part of the world around him, but he can’t help but help those in trouble.

Rhucollu Tugnun - The 21 year old son of a long line of weavers from Duul’ssom, the capital city of the dark elves, Rhu is hopeful and curious. He is cautious of the outside world since the war and the rebellion he was a part of, but he wants to find the best in everything and help build on that goodness.

Blux - The 17 year old goblin is inventive and friendly. He can’t do anything the normal way but he tries to be helpful when he can.

WIP Project - Sins of the Children, Sequel to Children of Misfortune

Character Introduction - Blux

A goblin in Duestea generally stayed close to home and Blux was no exception, even at 17 years old.

Content to live his life in peace and harmony with his family and friends, Blux took on an apprenticeship with his local tailor as a young boy. He struggled with some of the finer points, but his teacher soon learned that he had a knack for mending and could repair just about anything with little to no fuss but with a lot of creativity.

The boy stayed in their little underground village, never really leaving and never wanting to, until the dark elves came with a message of war. Blux listened to the stories of innocents in cages and being slaughtered as they fled their homes, of villages being burned and families being separated.

The goblins had no army, but they amassed a great number of volunteers to go and fight for their neighbors. Blux was not one of them. He didn’t want to die for strangers.

Afterwards, the others came home with stories and tales of bravery and sacrifice. Their war had been won, but Blux felt guilty for not having fought beside them.

He soon set off to see if he could somehow mend his cowardice, wipe the slate clean.
