i tried becoming plural by making my own headmate but in trying found out that i actually already have others inside at least one of which does not want me to make a new one on my own. but the only one i have been able to consistently talk with feels more like a mirror of myself who really insists that i’m faking all of it and that i’m not plural at all. but i’ve always been *heavily* interested in plurality in real examples and in fiction and felt a deep connection to the concept of it. i’ve always made very tangible-feeling “imaginary friends” for myself. i relate to SO many posts of systems discussing what the early signs of being plural were for them. at this point it wouldn’t make sense for me to NOT be. so, like, is this a thing? for a headmate to insist that they’re not real? i get the feeling that they really would like to be real, but are scared of what it might mean.
yeah, a lot of headmates will experience heavy denial. im sure that's a thing. talking things out w them might be helpful! because you're definitely not faking from the sounds of it. don't let anyone tell you otherwise, especially not another headmate lmao.
