I am hoping beyond hoping this all blows over and we can still interact. I found you on Tumblr because of your fic on AO3...and I would really miss your wit and wisdom...and pics of the terror girls!

Well, I’ll still be on AO3, and I’m sure I’ll keep blogging somewhere. It just won’t be twitter or instagram. I don’t want to have to post an image every time I want to say something or have to spend nineteen posts saying it.

That happened to petite madame, and it's completely screwed up the posted continuity of the-life-of-bucky-barnes. She observed anything challenged and cleared was boosted to the top of the blog.

Which is interesting because as far as I’m aware, nothing on my journal except the one image of Polk has been challenged or cleared. I haven’t seen any orange banners on a single post, and I haven’t asked for review on anything but the single Polk post. I was wondering for a while if stuff that other people reblogged automatically moved to the top somehow, like a horrific version of Facebook.

Having eaten this sandwich cooked by competent people, I feel really confident in saying you just got super unlucky with whoever was making it.

That is almost certainly true. I’ve had many an edible meatball sub from Subway, and even a few that were delicious. The problem is the delicious ones are all at least ten years in the past, and the edibility of them got closer and closer to “not” until finally I had the airport sub (I couldn’t go anywhere else; it was across from a gate where I was on minute’s-notice standby) after not having had a meal from Subway in a couple of years. So I did get super unlucky, but it was becoming easier and easier to get unlucky over time. At this point it’s not worth throwing the dice -- the odds of a bad meal are too high and the badness is too intense for me to risk money on it. 

Then again I’m also lucky to live in Chicago, where the Potbellys outnumber the Subways pretty much anywhere I go, so I rarely have to make that call.

That’s… a lot happening at once in a single sandwich.

It was a lot happening in my life altogether at that moment in time :D I’m sure it wasn’t helped by being eaten in the NOLA airport -- New Orleans is delightful but the airport is second only to the Las Vegas airport for gross griminess.

have you considered other brands? there are significantly cheaper competitors at this point

if they’d presented it as a patreon instead of a hostile takeover by a parent company, i think they’d have a lot more subs now.

Speaking as someone who once worked for a perfectly nice company that was bought by Disney as the endgame of a stupidly complicated merger (said process included the creation and death of one website that rose, imploded, and caused about 400 layoffs within a matter of weeks), I think it’s a fair bet that I understand exactly what the Legendary/Alpha experience feels like from the inside. I also have endless sympathy for people trying to make the best of it and still produce good, interesting, worthwhile content despite the corporate clusterfuck undoubtedly going on above their heads.

I fully expect that is because they plan to sell it as a prom dress, tbh. disney is all about the merch

Eh, it’s pretty basic. Twitch is a disinterested third party. At least Alpha keeps it in house.
