So the back and forth continues. My nose is pretty clear right now, but my right ear's stuffed up again, like it badly needs to pop but just won't, and it hurts. I'm so tired of this. I haven't been so miserably sick in years (haven't had anything since before lockdown) and suffice it to say, I am not loving it. And with no one here to help, or even whine to...

Current state of things: my head still feels like a dangerously overfilled balloon. At least my ears seem to have equalized, more or less, after a day of the whole right side feeling reeeeeeally wrong. Sense of smell: better? I think I can dare to say it's better? I don't trust ANYTHING right now, but at least at the moment, it exists. The saline nasal rinses seem to have helped.

Sinus infections: all fun and games until you accidentally clog up your ear again while blowing your nose, and then pull a muscle in your back while you're desperately trying to cough up the mucus that dripped into your throat

So. Can I smell anything today? Sort of, although I think the right side of my nose is still out for the count.

Welp: I could smell things for most of the day, sort of, but...it's gone again. That probably shouldn't be upsetting me as much as it is, but it really fucking is. And the amount of pressure in my sinuses right now is bordering on absurd. Who the hell designed the human head this way and why, exactly? Because I have some notes.
