Akira has a huge celebrity crush on Harrison Ford. He wasn’t sure, growing up, if he wanted to be Han Solo or just marry him. (Honestly, the jury’s still out on that one.) By the time he graduated from the Garrison, he had all the cargo pilots referring to themselves as smugglers, the sim room as the Falcon, the fighter class as bounty hunters, and Iverson as Jabba the Hutt.

Akira likes to say that if he wasn’t a pilot, he’d be one of those people who just drop everything and backpack across Europe with nothing but a change of clothes and a Swiss Army Knife--except he’d travel the whole world. While it’s true that he’d never be rid of the wanderlust and would probably find a way to travel, it would probably be by charming Takashi or their dad into flying him places. Oh, and he’d definitely work as a bartender on a cruise ship for a little while before he got sick of it and returned to dry land. Still bartending, still probably moving from place to place every few months to a couple of years, but fewer norovirus outbreaks.

During her time on Earth, Meri once maintained an alias for a full three years after it had outlived its usefulness--purely because Jo McCalla (not to mention her half-elf bardbarian Aya Ventrova) got, like, super invested in a campaign.

(Bonus: her family had yuppers when she was a kid, and she loved them more than anything, but the life of a soldier doesn’t allow for pets, much less the life of a spy. Giving up her pups was the greatest sacrifice the Accords ever asked of her.)

Karen proposed to Sam. They’d been dating for two years after meeting through mutual friends, and Sam kept alternately stressing himself out over whether or not it was too soon to propose and completely forgetting about his personal crisis because work kept getting in the way. Karen eventually took matters into her own hands, luring Sam away from the Garrison to stargaze out in the desert, their legs danging over the edge of a low rock outcropping. He kept talking to her about the stars and planets and the meteor shower next month and how this would be a great place to come to watch it, and she couldn’t bring herself to interrupt him. So eventually she just pressed the ring box into his hand and waited for him to come back from the stars long enough for her to ask the question.

Unlike Lance, who was 1000% a mermaid kid, Val never really saw the appeal. In fact, depending on how realistic a mermaid we’re talking about, she sometimes finds them creepy (Ariel is A-okay, if boring. Takeshi Yamada’s taxidermy mermaids? No fucking thank you.) Lance used to tease her about it until she retaliated by roping Lance into her burgeoning obsession with ghosts, haunted houses, and the paranormal.

Keena’s first act as Spymaster for the Accords was to “leak” false information about herself to distract people who were speculating about who had gotten the position. She made up some of these stories herself, and her favorite was the on that said she was a little old Altean lady who always wore a big, burly, Antok-esque disguise to look more intimidating (there were images “proving” this, by the way), and that during her time in the field, she’d been Zarkon’s personal masseuse.

Akani loves horror movies (everything except slashers/heavy gore) even though she’s very easily frightened. It’s the perfect excuse to cuddle with Lana, and even though she’s terrified through the middle, she ends up giddy at the end, which is totally worth it. (That didn’t used to be the case, FYI. Lana took her to a horror movie in theaters on one of their early dates, and Akani didn’t want to admit she was scared out of her mind, so she tried to play it off and accidentally made thriller dates a tradition. She was surprised to find she actually enjoyed it, even if Lana almost cried when the truth came out and she realized she’d been traumatizing her then-fiancee for years.)
