What if, in the episode, someone (like a childhood friend) who knew Blite wayyy before he went off the deep end came back and saw him again? How would Blite react to seeing that person, and how would that person, in turn, react to seeing him as well?

I think, at least for some extra context, ill need to touch on how the Childhood Friend felt during the time Blite was actively being, well, The Deadly Neotox Slinger, as well as thier feelings afterwards before he was let out.

And honestly, I feel like Blite would have been like any other kid, and he and his friend would have been an amazing terms, in terms of their friendship. But when Blite snapped and became what he became there was a lot of conflicting emotions.

Fear, anger, sadness, guilt.

It would be like an utter betrayal that leaves you excessively blindsided to everything you thought you knew. Its one of those situations where you look back and think,

'Is there something I could have done?'

'Was there something I missed?'

'Was he always like this and im only just realizing it?'

So many more questions till the 'What If's' become nothing but background noise that slowly disappears over the years.

And then Blite comes back. There is initially a wave of fear. This is the Neotox Slinger after all, they may have been friends, but Blite caused irreparable harm. This was not the same person the Childhood Friend knew all those years ago. And has been changed even more since his time in the Cavern of Time.

So safe to say, the Childhood Friend would not want to see him at first of they could help it. And Blite would not blame anyone from his past from never speaking with him again. Even if he is trying to be a better man now.

Blite heading back home to collect some old possessions was inevitable. Dispight everything he had a right to those things. So it was inevitable they would see each other again.

Its extremely awkward. And the Childhood Friend is scared of hitting a nerve and Blite going ballistic. Blite doesn't. He's, calm. Not calm, calm, but calm in a way that the anger and venom that was once in him was not at the forefront anymore.

Blite would apologize, and say he would understand if his old friend would never want to see him again. But that even if they never saw each other again he was glad to know his friend was doing well.

The Childhood Friend, would be stunned, but not give a proper answer right away.

Then news brakes Blite is a, legit, Shane on a technicality. Ironic really.

So your Uncle Blite AU has me going absolutely FERAL… It has been years since I have looked twice at this fandom and now I am hyperfixated, specifically, on the juiciness of all of your Blite content :3 Like, HOLY CRAP I DID NOT EXPECT THIS OLD SHOW OF MINE COULD ACTUALLY HAVE THIS KIND OF TEA BUT I AM SO DOWN FOR IT.

messy family dynamics is the staple of the Shane family and you can't convince me otherwise.

You know, Blite, defiantly dose have some kind a have beef with a thirteen year old, but it's not as bad you think it is. By the time Tad shows up Blite is a functioning human being and has chilled out a good amount, that some people who haven't met him and only know him through his repuation are like 'wait- that's the Neotox Slinger who got trapped in the Cavern of Time cuz Will Shane couldn't beat him in a fair fight?'

Like yes, he's pissed once again that Eli's ability to trust has been tested and broken, but I think a part of Blite see's himself in Tad. The Shane optimism has unfortunately infected this man and he want's Tad to get help, and be batter than Blakk.

After all just because Tad is Blakk's kid doesn't mean anything, sure it was a shock to learn the kid was that man's son, and raises a lot of questions, but if there is one thing Blite has learned children are not like their parents by default, that's why he gave Eli a chance instead of holding onto his anger in the AU. He's willing to do the same for Tad, but that kid has to want to change and be more than what Tad himself, and others think of him as Blakk's kid.

sksksk Junjie and Blite- oh man those two, uh they meet in the Man-Down AU, and given the context of the Uncle Blite AU, Blite would be around for Ghoul From Beyond and all of that craziness-

depending on the AU, first impressions are different, especially from Junjie.

In the Man-Down AU, all Junjie has to go off on is what he's heard about Blite, and that's him being a violent slinger who's killed at least two people. And must like cannon it's believed if that man ever saw a Shane again, he would try to commit one more murder. There's also the added fact in the M-D AU, Blite is the dad of an OC that's part of the Gang, and before going off the deep end and becoming Blite, he accidently, caused a massive lava burn scar on his kids back during a training mishap. Stuff like that happens all the time when Slug Slinging but it's no less impactful, thus causing Junjie to be on the defensive about Blite even before meeting the guy, and is keeping an eye on him just to make sure he dose not fall back into old habits.

Where as in the base Uncle Blite AU, Junjie finds about the guy's past well after getting to know him, and is shocked to know Blite has such a past. But as far as Junjie is concerned, Blite isn't that person anymore as it clear as crystal that Blite has changed. Sure, those feral urges are still around, but Blite had channeled them into helping rather than causing harm.

Blite just think Junjie's as much of a mess as Eli is and has, without realizing it, claimed the Campion of the East as a pseudo son/nephew. lmao.

I like to think, what caused Blite to go mad and start his rampage as, well Blite, was, well, a culmination of stuff.

Like he was living in a pressure bottle situation where he bottled up a lot of his feelings and resentments and one day, =BOOM=, in a moment of anger he lashed out, got a massive endorphin and adrenalin rush from Slinging harder than socially acceptable, and like most criminals of this nature started chasing that high because of how good it made him feel in the moment. [don't judge me im a true crime girly]

I genuinely feel like Neotox Slugs are like, the Pit Bulls of the Caverns.

Because of how dangerous they can be, and the fact that for a long time, they were used to harm people so badly, many don't think of them as 'regular' slugs, but probably aggressive little things. And what Blite was doing pre-Cavern of Time-Timeout did not help the slugs image.

So him wanting to give one to Eli for his birthday, as a way to bond and show his nephew Neotox's arnt all that bad and just as friendly-

And like- Blite only had his Slugs to talk to while he was in the Cavern of Time. Him and his Neotox Slugs are like family-

Reactions are mixed and completely depend on how scared the individual is of Blite to begin with.

For C.C, it's a 'N O P E'. He may have fought against the Shadow Clan that one time, led the damn charge, but that was because he had the Dark Light keeping the Clan at bay.

But Eli Shane, being related to Blite? That the Neotox Slinger is actually a Shane? HA C.C is going to go curl up in a corner and cry.

Because Eli was already a pain to deal with as is, if the kid was even a little like his uncle, and didn't have such upstanding morals, every wrong dooer would be in the infirmary with much more serious injuries. And C.C dose not want to think about what would happen to him if Blite was the Shane and not the Kid-

Locke & Lode are in a similar boat, but it's more denial, like they refuse to accept the idea that Eli is related to Blite. Or even think about the possibility of Blite being a Shane and taking up the mantle as a protecter.

The Drake Brothers are never coming back to land, and are now going to avoid getting slugged with Neotox Slugs. Look they are pirates, not much is scary to them, but getting hit with a Neotox Slug while in the water? Or getting gassed and being unable to stop the looting on one's ship? Yeah screw that.

Like I can still see Malvolio making fun of Eli, calling him 'Princess' still and messing with the young Shane because, related or not, this kid has a sense of honor. Like how most pirates have their own sense of messed-up honor.

But Blite? Ehhhhhhhhhh best not the poke that sea viper if you can help it... tho could be a useful guy to have on the crew...

The entirety of Blakk Industries is just, not having it this time.

Sure they'll do some questionable stuff. Its what hazard pay is for, and their amazing benefits! But BLITE? The guy that deliberately got physical in duels? And inflicted as much pain as possible? Nope, not touching him.

And you can bet they are keeping a distance from Eli now. Because while the kid hasn't had to physically punch someone unless he literally had to. No one wants to risk it. It's one thing to have the actions and legacy of the Shane's, especially Will Shane hanging over you. But to have Blite's as well? Gonna cause some conflicting emotions in a lot of people, especially those who where around to witness what Blite did that got him sentenced to the Cavern of Time.

Blakk is intrigued by this development. Because the Shane's were always noble, but knowing one went kinda crazy and became a low-key serial killer? That's a fun tidbit.

I see him using it against Eli even if Blite reforms. Like Blakk will say shit like;

"tisk, violent, are we? So much like Blite"

Honestly, everyone, while is shocked, is not surprised. Blite might be Will's brother. Both men were insane in their own right, and so is Eli and every other Shane. Shane Insanity, one might say, so that checks out.

As for the allies and friends;

No one's gonna be wary of Eli, because, come on, it's Eli? He's a slug loving dork who is trying his best to do good.

Sure, that are all shocked and unnerved that Blite is a Shane, and all the implications that come with that. But Eli Shane is his own person. Who hes related to shouldn't color their views that much.
