Hello, did you thought about a show/books on the entire War of Religions? maybe it's my feminist heart talking but i've always pictured catherine to be a strong contender for the red thread spot. She's for better or for worse in most situations and her life spans nearly the entirety of the period. But if you want something à la Druon i'd probably go with the Guises (those family meetings 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻). People will look at me and ask what's groundbreaking about it but the period is so underrepresented that they have never been brought to life in a satisfying manner so there's plenty of room. An underdog for the role would be Diane of France

Pour: Coffee black with a dark tan, bubbly froth fading to nowt
Taste: Silky mouthfeel with a coffee bite upfront then sharp, slightly smoky malt in the middle before finishing out on a smooth chocolate smack. Hints of licquorice in the mix. Potent and tasty.

Okay, so I haven't posted anything here for over a month. But that's not because I haven't been busy. So for starters, I thought it was about time I posted some pictures of Bubba. Bubba is the mascot of my husband's historical fencing school, Black Boar (www.blackboarswordsmanship.co.uk). 'Proper' Pictish Bubba is at the top, and my version is underneath. Bubba has graced cards, mugs, T-shirts, keyrings and hoodies, and he even has a girlfriend, Babe. (You can tell she's a girl boar, because she has eyelashes and wears a bow.)
