Flower is definitely the like adored sexy godking kind of ruler, except less adored than everyone thinks. she took over a kingdom in basically the same way she works as a deathknight because she believes that she deserves everything good in life, no matter who it belonged to. she randomly changes a few laws and basic modes of interaction every once in awhile and everyone scrambles to catch up before they get executed. she thinks the Dragon-Kings really had a thing with tearing people’s hearts out for the Sun and she thinks Nexus really has a thing with the unpredictable laws. anyone who disagrees with her is pleasantly invited to share a meal with her and lay out their points- she is so beneficent! she would surely change if she were shown she was in the wrong!- and they tend to come back starry-eyed and not act up again for awhile. someday someone will get taken away from her little kingdom and it’ll take them years to be able to realize what an awful ruler she was.

Ashes kept leading his godly father’s cult, and helped it expand to truly unusual numbers, forming a more equal bargain with him than before. the wyld hunt catches up with him quickly because of the rabble rousing and the sheer magnitude of heresy, and they have to bring a whole fucking army. he is just one guy but literally every person who has ever heard him talk will stand between him and the oncoming army. but he’s also so passionate about them that he refuses to leave as long as his congregation fights for him. he stands back and allows the Dragon-Bloods to strike him a mortal blow and becomes a hugely heretical and influential martyr figure for years to come, whom the underground remaining cult members begin to worship instead of the god he’d always spoken for. his next incarnation has a hefty “Chosen One Come Again” myth growing up around it.
