Bountyful autumnal delicacies for this antique outfit pairing a deep red kimono and a black based obi.
Fruits depicted here are: zakuro (pomegranate), nashi (pear), budou (grape), ringo (apple), and what I assume is biwa (loquat).
Notice the the rare gourmet food that is the pineapple - exotic/unusual patterns like this one where especially fashionable pre wwii!
Biwa bokuboku(琵琶牧々) Are lute like musical instruments that gain sentience through centuries of care and maintenance. Their current mannerisms seem to echo their long gone masters from a different time.
Something simple for today. My stress management blew up in my face.
Back in a new place with a new tank

Danny Phantom👻 introducing Zenji 🪕to Ember! 🎸
A sketch commission for the lovely LenoreAcedia on Discord! They wanted Danny introducing Zenji (who is a ghost in Tokyo Debunker) to Ember. Both of whom play string instruments (biwa and guitar)!
Want a commission of fan art or original characters? I'm currently still available to take on digital art commissions at this time 🦊💕
Kwaidan : Hoichi the Earless (1964)
Hoichi is a young blind monk who is a talented biwa musician. One night, his singing of "The Tale of the Heike" caught the attention of a Samurai who insisted that he performed for his lord and court.
His performance pleased them greatly that they request his presence every night, that it causes suspicions among the monks at the temple as to his nightly disappearance without informing anyone.
One stormy night, the monks searches for Hoichi, which led them to a cemetery where Hoichi is performing. In his mind, he is convinced that he is performing at an actual court of the Samurai lord.
But in reality, he is actually performing in the middle of the graveyard where the last Heike clan was buried, after their defeat at the end of the Genpei War, which shocked the monks and Hoichi himself.
Op op! Another old art with Lin
For some reason, Irken culture strongly associates with the East, so I like the idea of Lin playing the biwa. The sharp and piercing sound of this instrument perfectly reflects her inner rage
