A birdlike creature adapted for running in a desert made of millions of shards of glass

Korvins are an almost extinct tribe, scattered across the shattered realms, still bound to each other by the ancient laws of blood and clan duties. They are fearsome warrior each, not thanks to brute strength nor some abhorrent advantage, but sheer focus and will they apply in learning the arts of combat. They are fierce combatants with any bladed weapon, but display great aptitude towards any tools of violence, being able to even swiftly adapt to more esotertic armaments of the ancient technomages or forbidden xenotech. Nowadays they act either as highly coveted bodyguards to the rich and the powerful or as expensive mercenaries of renown, seling their highly coveted skills to the oh-so-very lucrative market of killing folks. Because as long as two living, sentient beings will exist of the face of the globe, one of them will like the other to end up death.
