Theo being Billy's little toy, trained to perfection through ruthless and vvvvery inappropriate methods (I imagine he's freaky asf. His kinks are a THREAT). This way, he trusts Theo to part from him, interested in what he'll do without Billy.

Would he be cruel in the same sense as Shoebilly was? How many could he kill without being held back?

But things take a turn for the worst when he hears that Theo's been cavorting around with Parrot, the well-known pacifist with the shitty savior complex. He's been making a name for himself through his combat expertise, sure, but can't help but focus on the ugly feeling that churns in his gut when he hears that Theo's been converted to Parrot's more peaceful mindset.

Theo, on the other hand, is frankly glad that he's been liberated from Shoebilly. Although there's been ups and downs, he's been enjoying his life now that he's able to do what he thinks is right. In fact, it's to a point where he briefly forgets about Billy, focusing more on the present and future rather than the past.
