Basically the white guy who covered Isn't She Lovely for the TADC finale worked closely with an open conservative douchebag.

It's the end of the war. What’s left of the capital city is ruins, fallen soldiers from both sides. Safe to say both sides lost, even if one did gain a crown. Theobald was facing Billy the whole fight. It was quite a struggle, like how he met him the first time and his latest fight with him. He was surviving but not winning. It's really hard to win against a combat style that is overpowered like that anyway.

What he can do best is stall him so he couldn't go after Parrot. They were wrapping up the wounded and were about to leave when he was confronted with his old friend once again, this time without a mace in hand. Just something very familiar.

“ Come back to me. ”

This time his tone of voice isn’t even trying to convince him.. it's more so out of desperation. Looking back, ShoeBilly had many chances to ban him, many. When he did mace him, it's always when he had a totem on or at least equipped in combat. Theo isn't that stupid- of course, he might be... dense in some aspect, but with ShoeBilly, he isn't.

If I were to describe how ShoeBilly looks in this exact moment, he has his head hung low, one of his arms extended forward with the feather necklace in hand. His hair was messy, his eyes were pleading. And he is staring straight at Theo. It was a very uncomfortable sight to see one of the most powerful people almost bow to him, not to mention his own mentor.

“ please ”

Theobald won't deny their bond was strong— it really was. They were friends for half a decade until… well, a lot of things happened. It's hard to view someone the same after they show their true colors, no? He gives him many chances he really did as a friend. He tried his best on his end, but when the other did not reciprocate and decided to stonewall him, then what Theo did is just meeting him halfway.

Sometimes relationship is just like that.

“ Did you not remember what happened last time? ”

He already mourned the loss of a friend that day in the Farlands.

“ Wasn't it you who said friends make me weak? ”

Frustrated, he almost raised his voice. He needed to find his actual friends. After this, he did not have time for a chat.

“ I really don't have time for this.. ”

“ Please stay, ”

“ I'm sorry ”

That…caught him off guard. Finally, he faced him properly. All this time, he really did not care for this talk, not at all. There are so many places, so many things he needed to do. ShoeBilly isn't his priority anymore. Then he saw the look in his eyes. Genuine tears. It almost makes him crumble within the stoic face he pulls up front almost crash down with that one look. No matter how heartless and cold he acts to someone, he has a history such as this- it was quite impossible to keep a straight face.

The next thing he processed was him sobbing uncontrollably. He didn't help him, of course not.

“ Please come home with me ”

“ That's all I ask ”

At the moment, it almost feels like everything went silent. No one moves… it's like the world slowed down just for them for a moment. He could almost see the whole life he once had with his old friend, one where they lived peacefully, just two friends hanging out, having fun. But those times hold no sorrows for him any longer. He moves on.

But clearly someone did not.

And for the last time, he said it.

“ No. ”

You could hear a pin drop after that.

Frustrated ShoeBilly, erupted into a fit of screaming. He threw the necklace onto the ground the same time that Theo turns and walks away. That friend he once had was gone. And as ShoeBilly was about to walk away, he turned around again, looking back at the back of Theo then down at the discarded necklace again. He picked it up and held it to his chest.

After wondering about his life choices for a while, he felt like fainting, his face about to plop down to the dirt if not for Saparata, that comes running to help him up, and once again they parted ways, bitterly.

Now that I have introduced you all to ShoeBilly the big birb version, I would like to add something to the headcanon that makes a lot of stuff in my HC much better, and that is something about intimidation tactics. You see. He doesn't use that form in normal occasions, especially not with Theo. Why? Well, mostly it's because he is afraid that Theo will be scared of him. It happens on accident once. ( I'm referencing this. ) And let's just say one of the reasons is because he is quite self-conscious, to say the least.

He did keep it a secret for a long while until Theo found out. Of course, no secret this big can be kept forever when questioned or pestered by it. Billy would try to shrug it off and not answer, but if he truly must, it will be very defensive since he doesn't really want to talk on that side of himself ( it’s very much a version of him where he used to scare others, and well... he want to kept it away from Theo.) He ended up switching up to that form a few times during Theo's training arc usually he switch to that in an argument

1) Because he can't really control himself well when he's angry.

2) He use it to intimidate him and shut him up, this also works when he wanted Theo to do what he was told as well.

Quite manipulative? Yes. Certainly. Billy is not a good person, there are quite a few moments of these in my head as well. Their relationship is certainly unhealthy. Theo wasn’t able to see it much until it came to his breaking point in the Farlands ( and even then he still thinks Billy's just a jerk ). When he became friends with Parrot, he then realized that friendship is low-key cooked. ( referencing Farlands from this )

This is just all the more reason why he doesn't go back to Billy no matter how hard he asks.

ShoeBilly only thought that Theo didn't come back to him just because of Parrot's being in his way, but uh, truthfully, he has his reasons. And one of that being ShoeBilly fucking sucks, bro. He's not a good friend; he was a good mentor, but he doesn't actually do shit aside from that to save their friendship, so it's really his fault. Theo was an open book, and he would communicate all his problems and everything with him just for ShoeBilly to brush it aside.

So he lowkey deserve to get kick to the curb

you work 5 days a week for 8 hours at a very intense job with multiple skills required. you have 5 minutes to grab all of your very heavy tools and navigate to the opposite end of the building when you change shifts. you get a single 30 minute lunch. you have to exercise, regardless of illness, neurodivergence or disability for an hour and you don't get to choose what you do. you have hours of the same work to do at home. also if you fuck any of this up, or do it the wrong way, or stop showing up, you will be punished and your caretakers could go to jail.

maybe you have the choice to do this all at home. the only difference is that you don't have to transport as much. so you're stuck in one spot, alone, head down, working like you usually would otherwise.

completely inhumane, right? but sure, "kids these days are..." alive people who think and feel. you should not torture children.
