can someone explain this to me? my brother called me an ignorant bigot today because of a conversation we had but refused to explain what i said that made me a ignorant bigot citing that i was "too emotionally invested and couldn't have a logical conversation about the subject" something he says every time he accuses me of something and i dont understand why he did so. Heres the conversation we had preceding the remark could someone please tell me what i said that would make him call me a bigot? I kinda dont want to repeat it if it really is offensive.
*driving home from school, my brother turns on a radio station that starts off this two men giggling for a full minute*
Brother: man i love this station.
Me: why?
Brother: because its basically two black dudes who are high out of their minds trying to run a radio station and having no idea what the fuck theyre doing!
Me: hmm weird
*a small talk about school in between before a long pause in which i actually start listening to the station which in 10 minutes has only played one song and is mostly these guys talking about dangerous cities for black people??? or people in general, eventully one guy starts singing really off key before cutting of with a coughing sigh and the other calls him an idiot. Thoroughly confused by the station*

Hate is not a mental illness. Hate is not indicative of mental illness.
If you have really sexist/racist/whatever person and you assume it must be because of a mental illness, you are helping this person to stay an asshole, but you are also doing a disservice to mentally ill people. Because there are a lot of us who manage just fine not to insult people. Or who apologize when called out instead of going into a rage fit. The person hating may be mentally ill, but even then, you are drawing a false equivalency between hate and mental illness that does't help anyone but bigotted people who want to be shielded from criticism, be they mentally ill or not.

I'm just confused as to why you called that person a bigot if you called POC who are frustrated with their representation in the media "selfish, greedy, racist, whiny, bossy, narcissistic, and unrealistically difficult to please." It sounds like you're a little prejudiced, yourself. I mean, unless I just completely misconstrued your post. Nobody wants you to grovel. They want to be afforded the same respect as others.
"Colorblind means you don't care." That's saying I have to recognize his race and make a judgment call in his favor based upon it. He's asking for special treatment.
I have no ill will toward Asians or minorities in general (I dislike using the term POC because it is a SJW buzzword). Just self-centered people who want the world to serve them.
