Stone Hazy IPA (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 3 of 4. A solid hazy IPA that definitely has the Stone influence with a more herbal/resinous hop profile than many others. The tropical fruit and citrus is still there up front, and the body, while hazy, is not super creamy. Solid.

Firestone Walker Propagator Series Strata Hazy IPA (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 3 of 4. This has what you’d expect with a fruity hop profile and juicy body that drinks quite easily. Not much complexity to this, but quite refreshing, and a light bitterness in the finish helps cut the juicy sweetness quite well.

Firestone Walker Luponic Distortion No. 18 IPA (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 3 of 4. I get quite a bit of white-wine like notes and other tropical fruit in the nose on this, and a nice clean body carries it well. Quite easy-drinking and nice firm bitterness towards the finish. Doesn’t stand out, but quite tasty and tastes bigger than 5.9%.

New Belgium Juicifer (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 3 of 4. Mostly orange citrus on the nose with a little bit of tropical qualities in the background. Much the same in the body with quite a lot of sweet / candied orange fruit up front and some more bitter grapefruit and pine in the background. A medium body that is relatively easy-drinking and has some moderate bitterness in the finish.

Founders KBS Espresso (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 4 of 4. I’m not sure I prefer this to the original KBS, but this is quite good. The espresso beans definitely add a ton more roast and coffee character, which is quite dominant. The base KBS is still there, but a bit more in the background, and this drinks scarily easily for the 12% ABV. Manages to have all the stuff you’d expect from aging on espresso beans without any of the astringency.

Stone Ruination 2.0 Sans Filtre Double IPA (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 4 of 4. The unfiltered version is just as good as the previous 2.0 version, and honestly not that different. Slightly more heft in the body, but same aggressive hop profile with a mix of citrus/pine and some lighter tropical notes up front. Aggressively bitter, like you’d expect, and finishes dry and slightly warm.

AleSmith Philosophy and Velocity West Coast Edition w/ Ommegang (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 4 of 4. Honestly this blend is better than either of the base beers. Lots of rich chocolate and roast and some dark fruit notes in the background that are quite nice. Not overly sweet, as some quads can be, and has great complexity. Really great, particularly for the price.

Berryessa Separation Anxiety IPA (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 3 of 4. Lots of bright tropical and stone fruit in the nose and a nice, lighter, clean body. On the lighter side re: bitterness -- one might mistake this for a pale ale, but its hop profile is quite great. Drinks very easily and the light body is quite refreshing.
