AleSmith Stroopwafel Speedway Stout (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. I've been really liking the series of modified Speedway Stouts, and this is yet another great one. Lots of roast and caramel notes, and this is subtle and doesn't beat you over the head with the modifications or with sweetness. It tastes like Speedway Stout with primarily caramel and brown sugar.

Unless you have multiple cans of the same beer but by now you should know I live my life one single can at a time 😂 The Speedway Stout from @alesmithbrewing in San Diego (the Mecca of Craft Beer) is a staple in the stout world. It’s a 12% abv coffee stout and reminds me of the homie @hoppy_urban_diversion and his taste for a nice coffee stout. I think this beer would be a great intro for a lot of people looking to get into the stout world. It’s big and bold, but is kept simple with its roasted coffee notes. A gateway stout if you will. It’s also very much widely available throughout SoCal and I enjoy posting these beers once in awhile that are found without too much effort.
