Alright. Honestly, we all had that one OC that was just a person with animal ears and tail. Don't you dare lie to me bro, it was your first OC or something lol. Something like this:
It's boring, let's be honest, and no one really does anything productive with this design...you know what I'm talking about- ahem. First, it doesn't look like a cat...it's literally a person with ears and a tail. It ain't got spice. So! I suggest a better design! One that actually takes cats as a reference and that isn't so furry that we end up making a furry.
There's our references, at least with a Maine Coon cuz I love the big cat. If I use the bottom right corner cat, the result for me would be this!
Look at that fluff! Look at that gorgeous lil guy! Yeah, he's very fluffy because Maine Coons are particularly fluffy, but It's just furry enough and not boring! If you want a less fluffy breed, then just make a less fluffy breed!
Like this black cat! Fluffy enough to be a cat boy, not too fluffy as to be a furry!
