HAPPY NEW YEAR!! It’s a shame that here in the UK we can’t go out an celebrate in any way - I would love to spend the evening with family playing games and talking. This year being over is definitely something to celebrate. It has been the hardest year for a lot of us so I urge you as we go into the new year to take time to think about all the good that has come out of this year and a prayer for the bad. I hope we all at least learned something - for me it’s really highlighted what’s really important in my life and helped me to feel gratitude for all the small blessings. I was asked to create this portrait of an ansestor from a handful of photos that they still had of this father and grandfather. I was honoured. I had hoped to be able to create more details but this turned out to be a much bigger challenge then I had anticipated. That said I learned a lot from it and am grateful that I gave this a go!
