In the New Year of 1927, The Bransons, Crawleys, and Pelhams had family photographs taken on a visit to Downton. A year later, in 1928, Edith's has just been updated, as she had recently welcomed a new addition to her family! Including a close up below :)
This shot could be a painting 🥰
New Pics from Grantham House
(Edith and Bertie mimicking each other's posture and dubious smiles, I love them!)

Downton Abbey Grand Finale Wins and Losses (SPOILERS)
WINS: Both Phyllis and Daisy being very insistent on telling Molesley/Andy/Carson that Thomas is NOT a servant anymore, and Mrs. Hughes telling Carson to better be nice to Thomas. Go girls! Edith and Bertie immediately clocking Guy and Thomas' relationship and giggling about Lord and Lady Grantham's cluelessness behind their backs. Guy and Noel demonstratively not giving a fuck about conventions: Guy going in through the kitchen with Thomas, Noel showing up in a turtleneck sweater to breakfast (gasp!), Guy being openly affectionate with Thomas "Were you happy?" - "Not as happy as I am now." Thomas and Tom interaction, YES! And I only had to wait like ten years for that handshake. Bertie having connections to the royal family but living his best life in his fulltime job as adoring husband. (Also Edith using his family connections to threaten people as if Bertie's the son of a mob boss, lol) Mary having one-night-stands, she should in fact have more of them (Hopefully the next one won't be such a scumbag. Or die during sex. Third time's the charm!). LOSSES: Molesley continuing to be the most self-absorbed person to ever self-absorb to the point of neglecting his lovely wife, JFC, pull yourself together (yes, I admit I'm not his biggest fan, and this movie didn't help) Andy morphing into Carson before our eyes. I may be the only one but this one made me unexpectedly sad. I always liked Andy, I liked his relationship with Daisy and his friendship with Thomas, but making him just follow in Carson's footsteps kind of sucked all the interesting qualities out of him. He is already starting to act as stuffy as Carson ("A bit unconventional, isn't it"?). On the upside, this was supposed to be Thomas' fate, and he escaped and now gets to hang with Noel Coward and swim in the Pacific with his hot actor boyfriend, so, I guess if anyone has to be the one, I'm glad it's Andy. Sorry, mate. No hug between Mrs. Hughes and Thomas :(
It's so funny how Henry and Bertie are introduced in the same episode. So theoretically both relationships had the same time to develop and come to fruition.
But Edith/ Bertie is just way more logical, enjoyable and better developed than Mary/ Henry.
All hetero romantic relationships should involve the man being absolutely whipped.
Like he should be kissing the ground where his woman walks.
Licking her shoes.
Bertie Pelham knows what I’m talking about.
