What I found very endearing is Andy Mr Parker as butler. Because sure, he's technically taking over for Carson. But there is a distinct sharpness to him when on duty – the way he moves, gestures, inserts himself into conversation – calculated, precise and just a touch theatrical, much different to the obstinate bulwark of Mr Carson. Sure, he's still been there at the Abbey;(even if he's finally retiring), yet it's not him that Andy's emulating as a role model, but Mr Barrow.

I'm a bit sad that we didn't get a one-on-one scene with them, I imagine it would have been a touching reunion. (But that's what AO3 is for!)
