“Armed guards are showing protecting Cape Cod cranberry pickers who did not desire to walk out in the recent strike. It is from this section of the country that most of the crop for Nova Scotia is harvested. If the berries are not plucked when ripe a turkey would go without its side-dish.” - from the Toronto Star, September 16, 1933. Page 19.

Bigfoot Seen by Two Berry Pickers?
The last thing I want to see when berry picking is some hairy, mythical creature. I'm picking berries dammit! (This is probably the dumbest intro I've ever done) Well, two women claim they witnessed a Bigfoot-like creature while berry picking. The incident took place on October 6th, 2012 in Nunavik, Quebec, Canada. Maggie Cruikshank Quingalik and her friend were out Saturday picking berries in the forest when Maggie's friend said she saw some kind of creature. She looked and they both saw a long, dark haired creature walking upright along the side of a hill and was taking long strides. They said that it would also crawl on the ground sometimes as well. At first they weren't sure what they were looking at, but knew that it wasn't human. As it got closer to them, they were able to estimate it to be about 10-15 feet tall. They said it didn't appear to be vicious or interested in them. They became frightened anyway and hoped on their ATVs and drove back to their little community to warn others of what they had witnessed. You know, this sounds so similar to a post I did MONTHS ago about two women who say they saw a Bigfoot in West Virginia walking in the forest. I guess Bigfoot is attracted to women who are in groups of two. There aren't any photos of Bigfoot from this sighting, so we just have to take there word for it. Me, I think I'm undecided on this one. Nothing really compelling about this sighting, but I also can't discredit them because I don't think two berry pickers would have any reason to fabricate a fake Bigfoot sighting. So, what do you think? Did these women witness a Bigfoot walking in the forest, or did they just make it up?
