#berdly angst

The entire concept for this au is that Queen got impatient. So, she used a standard plug on Berdly! While his attacks were wild and uncontrolled, the fight was certainly harder for Kris, for some reason.

After the Cyberworld... Berdly wakes up fine. Sure, a bit achy and tired, (weren't his feathers a slightly softer colour, before?) but he goes home and forgets about his dream. In the night, world blanketed by darkness, he turns back into a werewire (see right; i imagine that any darkness he steps into would act like that one asgore sprite - his armour is fused into this form. At least he has a mouth, now!).

He remembers it, but it works more like Pyro. Rather than be truly aware, his kind is confused and warps his perception. He definitely isn't in control. The next morning, he's wide awake. Like he's chugged one too many energy drinks. He doesn't bother bringing it up to his parents and instead uses his restlessness to get some reading for his project done, like he'd planned to during chapter 2.

Still, that restless feeling, the memories of last night and his dream-

He calls Noelle. Is she having that dream again, too? Is her skin buzzing, is there a feeling like she never truly woke up..? No? Huh. He doesn't even remember the festival until he's already hung up. Well, too late. It happens again that night.

He thinks he visited someone.

But that's impossible! He has wings, not claws. He can't climb a wall. Berdly only remembers the festival because his family is raving about it. Still, he wants to ask Noelle. Or Susan. Or... Kris? No!! No. They wouldn't... maybe.

So, he asks.
