💎Hidden treasure of Serbia Serbia's capital city, Belgrade, or Beograd as it's affectionately referred to by the locals, is located in Europe's southernmost corner. 🇷🇸 Most people don't have it on their travel wish list, and for those who do, it may be difficult to locate on a map of the world. This might imply that there is nothing of note to observe, or it could indicate the presence of a valuable resource. It's a true hidden treasure that, in my view, is underappreciated. Even if you end yourself in one of Serbia's main cities like Belgrade, you won't have to cope with the enormous numbers of tourists that other cities get, making it feel practically deserted. 🏘️ It's hard to believe that Belgrade's historic center is still standing strong in the twenty-first century, but it does. Trams with their warning noises trrrring into the air and drivers manually changing the track direction are still there, despite the introduction of gleaming new contemporary trams.🚊 While large supermarkets and hypermarkets are available, they remain the exception rather than the rule. Amazon hasn't yet taken control or delivered in places where internet purchasing is still relatively new. What it was like before and what it will be like when you return. The Danube and Sava rivers, two of Europe's most powerful, converge in this metropolis. This city, which has seen several occupations, is known for two things: might and force. 😊The city has been razed and rebuilt several times, yet it has remained steadfast and resilient all this period. The people here are strong, robust, and passionate (vehicle horns blare out their own tunes throughout the day), yet they're also nice. Most cities do not have beaches, but in Belgrade, part of the rivers were channeled to create Ada, a beach with plenty of restaurants and bars, as well as opportunities to participate in water sports, cycle, or stroll through the nearby forests.
