Made some improvements on my belt sander today. I added a spark shield on the idler pulley and the just kept going. Added gussets under the main shaft, a weight to the motor plate, a magnet bar under the belt and changed out the motor pivot hardware. It runs smoother, quieter, and fewer sparks are thrown back at me!

Stories aren't working today, so here you go, all flat and ready for the planer. I like to use my @ridgidpowertools belt sander with 60 grit to knock down the glue before I send I through the planer.
