I know I don’t do book recommendations often but I really want you to listen just this once okay?
The books you are looking at, they are a series do amazing, jaw-dropping, plot-twisting, Awsomeness.
The Gender Games series by Bella Forrest is a Young Adult book series of seven. It is about a girl named Violet and her journey to save Mateus and Patrus. Matrus is ruled by the women, Patrus is ruled by the men. They treat the opposite gender different ways in each city. Violet starts by stealing back something that Patrus had originally stolen from Matrus. Then things go down to shit.
The series is action packed, filled with unpredictable plot-twists that you don’t see coming but they instantly get pieced together after you realize they’re there. Bella makes the series so exiting and I couldn’t put any of the books down. She keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time and the way that she depicts the characters and paragraphs just- it breaks your heart with joy, happiness, sadness after a death and this series has made me feel, How do I explain it, like the world had just stopped and my breath was sucked out of me.
There is romance and action, drama and adventure, did I mention it’s dystopian and each book is 390 pages or up?
Did I mention that Bella Forrest depicts mental illness and trauma so correctly that I could’ve sworn that she had been through those things herself? Did I mention that she is also an author who has done her research and knows the things that she’s talking about in the books?
Did I mention that I really want you to just try and read the first book and see if you might want the next?
