Is there anything more exciting then getting your hospital bag ready? I used a cabin size suitcase for my 'Mummy' bag, meaning I would be able to easily transport it myself without having to lift. I must've packed and unpacked it at least 10 times just for something to do. I had my bag ready from about week 32, and it was kept by the front door. I used the Pregnancy Plus app to help me decide what to put in my bag. There was nothing in my bag that didn't get used, and there were some extra things that I grabbed on the day (iPad, extra drinks etc). The room isn't quite yet finished, but because Freya won't actually be going in there until almost Christmas time we have a while to do the finishing touches like putting up her pictures and replacing the curtains with blinds. We got our cot/mattress and the cute cloud cushion from @ikeauk . The 😍 emoji pillow was actually a gift for Alex but has been passed on to Freya. The giant teddy used to be my sisters but again, she wanted Freya to have it, and Freya's cousins love playing with it when they come round. My bump at 18+4. I didn't really start showing until I reached 17 weeks, at which point my belly just popped. Before then you could only tell if I was wearing something fitted. I absolutely loved my bump. Because I suffered with bad afternoon/evening nausea, by this stage I was about 8lbs lighter than I was at the beginning of my pregnancy. Around Christmas time, when I was working in London Colney, I was offered a new position to take me up to my maternity leave. This position was store manager of the Wembley Outlet store. In theory it was the perfect role, and offered something that I had wanted for a very long time - a job that was within walking distance of where I was living. The only thing was, with our offer on the house being accepted and the seller being in a rush to get rid, Wembely wasn't where I had originally intended to spend the remainder of my pregnancy. This meant that for 3 months, Alex and I would be living apart for most of the week. Fully moving into the house with Alex wasn't going to be an option, because parking would be in excess of £12 a day (£20 on arena event days and an extortionate £80 on Stadium event days) and that was cash we simply couldn't part with at a time where we were taking on a mortgage and me trying to save to get me through my maternity leave. Staying at the flat with my brother during the week was the logical decision, and would cut my commuting costs down to 0. The walk was only about 1.5 miles each way (and turned out to be a great way to prevent excess pregnancy weight gain). This meant that some weeks I would have to leave Alex on a Sunday night, and not see him again until the Friday night.
