I realized that I never posted my (very small) zine from the Fall2k16 finals. It was a passion project so I did this.

"...and people say, but what if there is no God, no heaven, no reward, and you spent your whole life being a good person, and making the world a better place, for nothing?"
"That's fine," I'd say "because thats not what I'm doing it for, anyways. In fact, that would make the most sense, in the world we find ourselves in today. This world, with it's injustice, it's tragedy and disease. Yes, that would make the most sense, at all. But, if I spent my whole life, being good, with no great cosmic reward, for me, thats fine. I'm prepared for that."
"What I can not stand, is going into my grave, hating myself. Filled with regret, thinking of all the people I'd hurt, wishing I had tried to do more. I can handle living and dying in a world with no God, no heaven, no reward. What I will not stand for, is contributing to any person losing their faith, their passion, their lust for life, or their sense of self worth. What I can not stand for is contributing to actual hell on earth."
A man must have some code to live by, a code of honor, a code of ethics, one that sits right with him. Something he can fall back on, in times of crisis. Just so that he can live with himself, and sleep at night. And for me, just saying "Do anything to stay alive" is not enough, and "Do anything to avoid suffering" is even worse. I gotta live in such a way, as that I don't fear living, and I don't fear dying, and I don't fear suffering or loss. All I fear is dishonor.
Thats about it.
If you have the means to help another living thing, you can't turn away and consider yourself Right (with a capital R)

I used to live right beside a cold, provincial lake. The most vivid-for-no -actual-reason memory I have of said lake is my eighteenth birthday, spent with my ex girlfriend, Roberta. That day, my parents gave me some birthday money (no birthday presents for the baby grown up), and I wisely spent them all in one night, investing them in a blob of queer activities. We dined at a cheesy as fuck restaurant and we got high on expansive wine we knew nothing about and cheap weed we knew nothing about and we had cheap sex we knew nothing about. The night called quits when we both threw up in the upper mentioned lake. We sucked at being decent, still we were euphoric. The fact that my “teenage kicks” are now a couple of broken piano ballads, laughable love letters and non sequiturs about sucking at being decent should feel like pitifully wasted time, but it feels way more like the inevitable effect of a obscure, natural law.

It's all about doing the right thing, even when no one is looking.
I love it when I'm at a party and there's one other gay guy there where we aren't each others type and we can totally respect that and can enjoy our night. I love it even more when our straight girl matchmakers give it up once we tell them that we're not interested.
If you have certain skills, help others that don't have them.
Yeah, you might be tired, and looking forward to some time to work on yourself (or maybe do absolutely nothing, your prerogative).
But everyone started somewhere, and some people advance onwards at a more rapid pace than others. Some people have really good technical and analytical skills, and others have more creativity in one fingernail than you could ever hope to stumble upon.
Point is- help somebody out when you can. Don't look down on someone for not having perfect grammar or diction, because your writing and/or speech hasn't always been so eloquent, and not everyone is awarded the opportunity to develop certain skills.
Do yourself a favor- do somebody else a favor every now and again.
