This is important
People need to finally understand that you CANNOT force anyone to love you, care for you, text you, kiss you or not even hug you. And it’s not the right thing to do. People need to be free (in a reasonable way). You must let them ACT the way they feel, that’s how you get to know them, that’s how you discover their true face. If someone doesn’t go your way, you can always tell them what’s bothering you but you can’t force them. After you say what bothers you, that very moment starts to define what kind of person they are. If they keep acting the way they want, means that they don’t care about you or your feelings, they are not true to you or maybe even to themselves. Forcing someone to go your way means to turn them into you, imprison them, or maybe eve push them away. If you end up turning them into you, one day their true self will rise and out of nowhere you will lose them, wondering yourself how did that happen. If you imprison them one day they will realize that they’re in an unhappy friendship or relationship and they will leave you. If you push them away you can never know them truly or where this could take you two, maybe you could have worked it out, or maybe not but the point is, you can’t force people to act your way. Everybody is different and they should act the way they truly feel, not only for themselves but also for you to get to know them better. Ask yourself: how can you get to know someone’s true self or personality, if they always say yes to you and whatever bothers you?
The rainbow movement flag was designed by Gilbert Baker on the occasion of the San Francisco Equality Parade in 1978. The flag is not intended to reflect a rainbow that occurs in nature. Its colors are arranged in the form of horizontal stripes, with red at the top and purple at the bottom. Represents a variety of gays and lesbians around the world. In the original eight-color version, Baker was to symbolize each color in the order:
warm pink - sexuality
red light - life
orange - relief of pain and suffering
yellow - the sun
green - bond with nature
turquoise blue - art
indigo blue - peace and harmony
purple - spirituality.

Being True is a comics anthology celebrating LGBTQ life and identity! Our stories combine fiction and nonfiction and span all genres.
Do you HATE the Bury Your Gays trope? Do you wish the LGBTQ section of Netflix had more than just trauma porn? Are you sick of hearing all those cishets telling you to "make your own stuff" instead of them having to do extra work for inclusion?
Then DONATE TO THIS KICKSTARTER, an indie comics anthology with ALL QUEER CREATORS, with ALL QUEER STORIES, with ALL HAPPY THEMES!! I'm on the editing team and we've worked our butts off organizing this for the last six months, so please consider supporting your independent queer creator friends!
Don't change yourself to win someone's heart. Stay true and you'll find someone who likes you for being you.
Do I want to be a hero to my son? No. I want to be a very real human being. That's hard enough.
Robert Downey Jr.
