haii!!! im studying psychology aswell omg weâre twinsies!!! can i ask where to start with pilates? i know theyre a bit challenging and ive never really tried !): i could totally just look it up but id love to hear from someone in the community if you dont mind!! đ¸ have an amazing day/night!!!
Hihi !! Yes! I saw we both studied psych and thought you were super cool :3 I also like pink and horror things!
I started Pilates a little over a year ago and itâs definitely been a journey. For staters I do mat Pilates rather than reformer, and I do at home workout rather than taking classes! I mostly follow YouTube videos because they guide you through the exercises and make it easier to check your positioning.
I personally watch MovewithNicole, sheâs is a little advanced so depending on mobility I recommend watching her beginner videos and just keep in mind itâs ok to take break or modify workouts if you need! You definitely shouldnât feel discouraged if some things are a little hard at first. Itâll be all the more rewarding to overcome the challenges in the end :3
Tips:
First and foremost always stretch before and after! I didnât realize how much this affected my workouts until recently but it really gets myself ready to workout and helps with soreness afterwards. Plus it gives you a chance to listen to music before your workout! I personally focus on flexibility and dynamic stretches as my mobility isnât the best due to injuries. Anything to get my hips, hamstrings, and back ready for the workout helps me!
My biggest tips for starting out is to make sure your form is correct as to not cause any unnecessary discomfort and try to repeat videos. I feel like every time I rewatch a workout I do something even better than before that I didnât realize I wasnât doing. It also gives you a chance to master certain exercises and find a basis for what muscles you want to work on the most!
Breath control is another really big aspect of Pilates. Because oxygen is what helps our muscles a work the way they need to, breathing properly and deep enough when exercising is super important for both effectiveness and soreness. This is another reason I prefer to watch guided videos because Nicole walks you through everything! When starting out breathing might feel really insignificant but as you progress it will make a huge difference.
My last tip is to have fun and romanticize it! Cute outfits, bows, and a pretty mat are definitely small ways I keep myself motivated. I really like the blogalaties line but there are a ton of other coquette clothing options out there! Price can also be a factor in this so just know some days I wear Arie flare leggings and other days I just wear pajama shorts and a band tee. Whatever makes you motivated to put the work in is what good for you!
I hope this helped you out some!! If you have any other questions please feel free to ask :3 I hope you have a great day/night too!! <3

Why Running Feels Easier When Youâre Not Doing It Alone
Running alone sounds simple. You go out, follow your own pace, and finish when you feel like it.
But in reality, itâs not always that easy.
Some days you feel motivated. Other days, itâs hard to even start. And without structure, it becomes easy to skip sessions or lose consistency without even noticing.
Thatâs where things started to change for me.
Instead of running randomly, I began looking at more structured ways to stay consistent. One thing that stood out was how many people were turning to a run club in Leamington Spa to build a routine that actually works.
Itâs not just about running
What surprised me the most is that itâs not really about running faster or harder.
Itâs about:
Showing up regularly
Following a simple structure
Not overthinking every session
When you remove the pressure of doing everything perfectly, running starts to feel more manageable.
The difference structure makes
Without structure, itâs easy to repeat the same pattern: start strong, lose motivation, stop completely.
With a more guided approach, things feel different.
Youâre not guessing what to do. Youâre not pushing too hard too soon. You just follow a routine and let progress happen over time.
This is why many people prefer joining a run club in Leamington Spa instead of trying to figure everything out on their own.
It becomes easier to stay consistent
Consistency is the hardest part of any fitness routine.
Not intensity. Not effort. Just showing up.
When thereâs a fixed time, a group, or even just a sense of structure, it becomes easier to stick with it. And once that happens, everything else starts improving naturally.
Final thought
Running doesnât have to feel like something you force yourself to do.
With the right structure and environment, it can actually become something you enjoy and look forward to.
Sometimes, the biggest change is not running more, but running smarter.

đĽ Video 1: Core Back Immersion: Beginner Membership Class With Proper Breathing And Spine Alignment đ§ââď¸
Join us in this exclusive video where we will delve into the essential techniques of gently engaging the deep core while maintaining proper spine alignment to prevent exacerbation of back pain.
đ We will begin by lying on your back, placing one hand on the small of your back to feel the space and ensure the spine is in a neutral position - vital for a healthy back. Focus on proper breathwork to maintain this alignment throughout the exercise.
đŤ Progressing further, we will incorporate gentle hip movements to gradually activate the deep core and engage the small muscles that support a strong and stable back.
When I was young lady in high school, I used to think that weak core and back pain were just a normal, regular occurrence for humans. Like there was no other option. You grow up, you get exhausted, stiff , tight, weak on your back , core, worsening of posture aaaaand you stay that way.
Have you thought that way, too, my friend?
A lot of us spend way too long feeling like the busy-ness of our lives is âsupposedâ to feel like punishment, there is not time to strengthen and engage my core, let me just walk it out or stand for a bit and the stiffness will go away and my core will be still strong. âI chose this!â That mentality sneaks it way in, with a slightly different voice and cadence for each of us⌠but itâs all too common.
That is why I made a gentle beginner video and Video 1 is now LIVE!
