I thought the last episode was good. Started off pretty slow, and I felt like some of the more trying-to-be-emotional scenes overstayed their welcome a *little bit* too long, but the second half was pretty nice. Not a fan of the "info-we've-already-seen" flashbacks, but the "new-information" flashbacks were stunning. They had good, organic acting in them :) Felt like I was listening in on actual conversations; even related to them a bit.

I *do* think that the way we got to the "new-information" flashbacks (and the associated scenes leading into them) could have been introduced a little better, or at least had a bit more context for how we got to "I need to do [very self destructive action that has never once been discussed or shown to help prior in the series (opposite, actually), with no way to fix it afterwards, despite being framed as a good idea by the narrative]." Most other things remaining unexplained is fine and honestly good for the story, but this one was a little strange.

The ending was good. I liked the twist, and I like that the twist didn't feel like it changed since so many people already guessed it. Kinda wish they would have committed a little more to Jax's Thing in terms of his life outside of the circus, but I also understand flawed people take time to grow and accept themselves, and that's probably the angle they were going for.

I dont understand why people are so pressed about most of the attention being on Jax and Pomni when we were WELL warned that he was one of the main characters. I don't understand why people are acting like this is the worst thing in cinema history, either - It wasn't the best thing I've ever seen, but it was fun and followed with the themes we had set up.
