WELCOME TO THE BLOG OF THE WARRIOR BEARD!!!!!!!

In this blog, I will review beard products, talk about beard lifestyle, and promote beard culture. I am the Warrior Beard, your master of beardery. I'm the one who reviews the products, makes the vlogs and blogs, and posts and tweets about the products daily. I have big plans for this blogs, and more features will come soon. The reviews will be based on my opinions of particular products and feature links to the products. Don't worry, the vlog should be much more interesting.

So the first product I had the chance to review was BeardBalm. BeardBalm hails from Detroit, home of what I thought was mostly general sadness and broken dreams. But Jon and Hannah have been living their dream. They developed their product in the 1990s, and have slowly been gaining traction, with their product currently available in several retail locations, including at least one international location, and one their website, www.beardbalm.us. Their primary emphasis is making a functional product from sustainable resources, and they are delivering on that goal. Their product contains Grapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, Lanolin, Beeswax, Geranium Oil, Lemon Oil, and Eucalyptus Oil, so if you're allergic to any of these things, this is probably not the product for you. 

Now I'm not exactly sure what the intended purposes of these ingredients are but here's what my research yielded:

Grapeseed Oil: Most likely used for its possible skin moisturizing properties, cause the ladies like it smooth 

Coconut Oil: Probably used for its skin moisturizing and hair strengthening properties (Whoo-hoo, double whammy!)

Lanolin: Possibly used for its hair softening properties, cause the ladies like it soft

Beeswax: My research indicates that beeswax would add luster, or shine, and strength, or muscle, or GRRRRRR.

Finally Lemon, Geranium, and Eucalyptus Oils: The best uses for these that I've found is aromatic, cause the ladies like it when it smells good. You should always smell good gents

Now my initial impressions were that the scent reminder me of both a hospital but also being a boy scout. I'm not really sure were that came from, but hopefully not somewhere dark in my subconscious. but one never knows. I feel the scent that caused these thoughts was the lanolin, but I'm not really sure. The application was not difficult, just not something I was used to, being a product virgin so to speak. You simply have to rub to surface until some melts, and apply a little bit, more if your beard is long.

After a couple days of use, I still smell that smell, but I have noticed that my beard feels thicker, and in a good way.

I still have a couple days left, so I'll fill you all in when I'm done. Feel free to look at the photos, formulate your own opinions, and comment as much as you'd like, just don't call me a fag.
