SEMIMIDPOINTISH REVIEW FOR BEARDBRAND!!!!!!!
Greetings Internets,
It's time for your SEMIMIDPOINTISH UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This weeks products are brought to me by BeardBrand! If you are interested in all they have to offer, check them out at:
http://www.beardbrand.com/
I will provide specific links to the exact products I demoed with their individual reviews.
So I demoed their Tea Tree Beard Oil and Tea Tree Mustache Wax, the latter of which was the first beard styling product I had demoed, since BeardBalm is just a maintenance product, so I'll start with that. First and foremost, I would like to give kudos to BeardBrand for the enclosed swag, pictures of which will be posted. So being a beard guy as opposed to just a mustache guy, I don't know if I would just buy mustache wax out of the blue. But trialing this product has changed my mind on that front, slightly. Using a wax product was a great way to keep my upper lip fur out of my mouth, but using a product with wax in it is rather difficult to remove. For those of you who follow me on Instagram (@warriorbeard if you don't), you know I did a Salvador Dali type mustache yesterday, using this wax. The application of the wax wasn't exceptionally difficult, but the removal was not only time consuming, but also slightly painful, however I feel this is not BeardBrand's fault, but merely the nature of using a wax based product. I also noticed throughout all 3 applications so far, that the wax seemed a little lumpy, and since I'm not very familiar with this type of product, I'm not sure if this is a fault with my application, a fault with this particular product, or a fault with this type of product overall. I will revisit this in future reviews. So as it stands right now, I like the ease of use of the BeardBrand Tea Tree Mustache Wax, and the instructions not only printed on the label, but an instructional video available on YouTube, the link for which is here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvfcYeLPnRc
I like Eric's knowledge of use and product, and also his oddly soothing voice.
Now the beard oil was definitely different from from the balm. The application required again little time and effort, and again, they have a YouTube video explaining how to do that here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-o6PcAtsixA&list=TLYWK5Iz4FCuJTYgZFOuvNuN5jerXt_w6A
Again, Eric covers his bases very well, and utilizing his hypnotizing voice. I personally left my cap in tact, but I know Eric pulled his out. I feel this regulated my use a little bit, but perhaps a bit too much on the first day, as I did not tap hard enough and only used about half of what I should've.
My only complaint with these products so far is the potent scent. I currently use Tea Tree Shampoo, and that has a moderate minty smell. Eric describes this scent as being in the Alps, I would describe it as the Alps thunderpunching you directly in the nose. Now, when I first applied these products, at the same time mind you, I had put the wax on first, and I thought that might be why it was so potent, so the next day I reversed the order. It didn't help. So after yesterday's Dali Stache, I abstained from the wax as I probably had a fair amount still in my hair, and I thought the scent might now be as potent. Wrong again. Now it's not like all you can smell is that Tea Tree scent until you wash it out. The effect of the smell lasts maybe 2 minutes, after which, I didn't even notice it, and if anything, it helped stimulate me for my not always great mornings. But for those of you who may be unfamiliar with products or haven't used scented products before, just be aware that these products may take some getting used to. Again, that being said, these are great products made by a team of dedicated people with good business sense, so I have a feeling that BeardBrand has no where to go but up.
That's all for right now, don't forget to comment, like, ask me questions and follow me on Twitter @warriorbeard6, Instagram @warriorbeard, follow this tumblr, and still watch out for info about my upcoming YouTube channel. I will post a vlog review of BeardBalm and then one for BeardBrand, and I'd like to apologize to BeardBalm because editing is a lot more time consuming than I could've ever thought.

BeardBalm, Semimidpointish Review
HELLO INTERNETS!!!!!!!
WELCOME TO THE BLOG OF THE WARRIOR BEARD!!!!!!!
In this blog, I will review beard products, talk about beard lifestyle, and promote beard culture. I am the Warrior Beard, your master of beardery. I'm the one who reviews the products, makes the vlogs and blogs, and posts and tweets about the products daily. I have big plans for this blogs, and more features will come soon. The reviews will be based on my opinions of particular products and feature links to the products. Don't worry, the vlog should be much more interesting.
So the first product I had the chance to review was BeardBalm. BeardBalm hails from Detroit, home of what I thought was mostly general sadness and broken dreams. But Jon and Hannah have been living their dream. They developed their product in the 1990s, and have slowly been gaining traction, with their product currently available in several retail locations, including at least one international location, and one their website, www.beardbalm.us. Their primary emphasis is making a functional product from sustainable resources, and they are delivering on that goal. Their product contains Grapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, Lanolin, Beeswax, Geranium Oil, Lemon Oil, and Eucalyptus Oil, so if you're allergic to any of these things, this is probably not the product for you.
Now I'm not exactly sure what the intended purposes of these ingredients are but here's what my research yielded:
Grapeseed Oil: Most likely used for its possible skin moisturizing properties, cause the ladies like it smooth
Coconut Oil: Probably used for its skin moisturizing and hair strengthening properties (Whoo-hoo, double whammy!)
Lanolin: Possibly used for its hair softening properties, cause the ladies like it soft
Beeswax: My research indicates that beeswax would add luster, or shine, and strength, or muscle, or GRRRRRR.
Finally Lemon, Geranium, and Eucalyptus Oils: The best uses for these that I've found is aromatic, cause the ladies like it when it smells good. You should always smell good gents
Now my initial impressions were that the scent reminder me of both a hospital but also being a boy scout. I'm not really sure were that came from, but hopefully not somewhere dark in my subconscious. but one never knows. I feel the scent that caused these thoughts was the lanolin, but I'm not really sure. The application was not difficult, just not something I was used to, being a product virgin so to speak. You simply have to rub to surface until some melts, and apply a little bit, more if your beard is long.
After a couple days of use, I still smell that smell, but I have noticed that my beard feels thicker, and in a good way.
I still have a couple days left, so I'll fill you all in when I'm done. Feel free to look at the photos, formulate your own opinions, and comment as much as you'd like, just don't call me a fag.
If you like what you seem in the photos, the product is available at: www.beardbalm.us
