stede wakes up and he’s a CO CAPTAIN of a PIRATE SHIP and DATING T H E E BLACKBEARD and blackbeard is doting and soft for him and WHAT?!?

ed wakes up and he’s co captaining this lowkey pathetic crew with this kinda pathetic pansy and wait why is his heart fluttering why does he automatically feel fond of this sad little puppy dog man ???

if we’re looking for angst, the presumed dead trope

we don’t need too much angst tho this is our silly little pirate show

hurt/comfort (we’ve already had some tho, but I wouldn’t say no to more!)

fake dating (everyone already sees the romantic tension tho so it would have to be trying to fool people that aren’t the crew)

fake marriage

stranded together on an island/trapped together in a cell etc plotline

huddling for warmth

Ed runs his hands over the empty shelves of Stede's library and mourns all those beautiful books that Izzy forced the crew to throw overboard. He pauses when his fingers hit a bump. It's the secret passage switch. He wonders who snapped the mannequin from the base and if they saw the passage open when they were doing it. 

He presses the switch so that the bookcase swings out, and he ducks inside. 

All of Stede's clothes are still in their places, and there's a small stack of books on the floor. Ed touches Stede's clothes and drops to his knees to look through the stack of books. They're Stede's very favorites. Including a book of fairy tales, the ribbon bookmark holding Stede's place for the nightly bedtime story.
