More bears! For October, I’m doing Octobear with @kyootiepies 🐻❤!!! We’ll be drawing bears for each day of the month (from the explore.org bear cam!). Just sketches. It’s much more laid back. I have a history of abandoning inktobers (October for students is the most stressful time of the fall semester...) So this should be easier to keep up with! Here is today’s entry. This 909jr, the winner of fat bear week junior! She will be competing with the big bears next week on the official fat bear week. She’ll probably lose it, but at least she is the champion of the juniors 👶🏆 She showed up on the cam today so I drew her while she played with a log.

This bear is faced with multiple dinner choices and no wrong answers. It's captivating to witness Katmai National Park and Preserve's magnificent brown bears catching a nutritious meal, thanks to the healthy population of sockeye salmon the Bristol Bay ecosystem supports. As anticipation builds for Fat Bear Week, we can all tune into the bearcam and experience front row seats to the impressive feasting.

It's Bearcam season! In Katmai National Park at Brooks Falls, bears gather every year to try to catch the salmon as they jump up the falls while heading upstream. Such fun video, and livestreams are available here:
