I've been keeping an eye on your story (Junar the Neanderthal) for a while... although with some blank periods on my part here and there (sorry)
Hence my question: was the demon friend planned from the start or did he pop into your head later? As someone who's trying to write, I'd like to know more about your process :)

As for the demon buddy, he was always present in the very early drafts of the story. Even when Tam was originally the main character, the demon was there.
The main character has since changed, and thus soooo many other details like backstory, character relations, development, every single scene is changed, etc. But the demon remains.
Though I must say the demon didn't look like this at first. I gave it this ghostly goat appearance when I made Junar the main character. That was about 3 years into development 😳
It's a long process.
I find myself understanding the story better when I step away from it for some time (2 weeks- 1 month) and come back with fresh eyes. With a better vision not muddled by whatever million scenes and character interactions I had in mind while in the writing period. For that reason, it's taking a while (besides having been a full time student then teacher :p work eats up SO much time omg).
Hopefully when the writing is completely done, the drawing will be smooth sailing, because I already know what's ahead.
