These Spicy BBQ Bacon Burgers are a great way to spice up your weeknight dinner. They taste great and are great for a summer cookout.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of bacon. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup BBQ sauce. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 2 tsp hot sauce. 1 tsp paprika. 1 tsp garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Red onion slices. Pickles.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle to medium-high heat. In a bowl, combine ground beef, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 4 burger patties. Cook the bacon slices until crispy, then set aside on paper towels to drain excess grease. Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese. While the burgers are cooking, mix BBQ sauce, mayonnaise, and hot sauce in a small bowl to make the spicy BBQ sauce. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until they're lightly browned. Assemble the burgers by spreading a generous amount of spicy BBQ sauce on the bottom bun, adding a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a burger patty with melted cheese, bacon slices, red onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun and secure with a toothpick if needed. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
