Bobby Flay's Louisiana Burgers are a spicy and flavorful twist on the classic burger. With Creole mustard mayo, Cajun seasoning, and pepper jack cheese, these burgers bring a taste of the Louisiana bayou to your grill.
Ingredients: 1.5 lbs ground beef. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 2 tbsp Creole mustard. 2 tsp Cajun seasoning. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices pepper jack cheese. 4 leaves lettuce. 1 tomato, sliced. 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced. 4 pickled jalapeo slices. Vegetable oil for grilling. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill to high heat. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Creole mustard, and 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning. Set aside. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season both sides with the remaining Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired doneness. During the last minute of grilling, add a slice of pepper jack cheese to each patty and close the grill to melt the cheese. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until they are lightly browned. To assemble the burgers, spread the Creole mustard mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a burger patty with melted cheese, red onion slices, and a pickled jalapeo slice. Place the top half of the bun on top and serve hot.
