ive said this before somewhere but streber being annoying was definitely one of the reasons rick quit his job at the hardware store, if not The reason. he just cornered him and yapped for hours about a simple mistake with the packaging labels. rick doesnt like anything and streber loves everything... but with enough time theyd realize theres a harmony in it. rick doesnt know when he began letting streber go on and on about machinery and math, hes even paying attention and enjoying it. starts asking questions about it too. of course streber never notices this but rick can admit at this point that he feels a lot calmer around streber

streber on the other hand Worries for rick. he worries so so much because rick keeps saying hes tired and unsatisfied and bored, and he doesnt want him to keep abandoning people and ignoring his problems. he'll help him even!!! please let him help him. please. please. please. rick just needs to ask... but streber cant say hes not grateful for the fact that rick couldve easily been bored or tired or frustrated by him, but he loves him enough to put up with it. he will put aside his need for constant pleasure because the presence of streber is enough to make him want to stay. hes just a fun little guy. i think this alone would help rick realize hes handling a lot of things wrong. he can deal with strebers enthusiasm and strange habits, he even wants to learn how strebers inventions around the house work so he doesnt like. blow up trying to work a coffee maker

feeling love is just so new to rick, it doesnt even click right away that hes already changing for the better because of streber. and on strebers end, hes not very good at picking up when rick is happy or mad or anything. not like rick is good at showing it anyways. so streber doesnt need a lot of reassurance, but because he really loves rick hes putting in the effort to "study" him and ask him how hes feeling and if streber needs to calm down when he talks too much (he doesnt need to. rick likes the background noise, it helps him put up with Difficult Tasks)

streber likes ricks voice a lot... very deep and soothing. he makes him read science articles to him until he falls asleep every night. and theyre really stupid and piss people off Together. you are cornered by two men. one will sigh loudly until you turn around and realize youre in his way because he doesnt feel like using his words. the other will go Ermm Excuse Me and poke you on the shoulder and point out in front of god and everyone that he needs to get past you. they are dating. also i think streber has four pet rats and they crawl all over rick who has to put up with it
