i feel you! the one happy thing I get from this though is their STRONG relation. the minute ed & os get out after 10yrs apart they run to each other right away ready to fuck shit up! TOGETHER. dunno if they are released the same time like this but i can imagine. and maybe they weren't allowed to write letters or anything just 10yr of not knowing about the other one. but then just get back together as if they spoke yesterday as the closest soulmate partners right away ♥

Tbh, for nygmobblepot imo it’s not even really a terrible thing, there are SO MANY ways the separation WORKS for the ship (and my angst loving heart honestly sings at the thought of them being parted and pining for each other for a long stretch of time) 

My real sorrow has distilled into being about OSWALD SPECIFICALLY - because I feel like his character should have got a proper, extended period of criminal success (like, better and more stable than we ever saw him achieve in the show) before Batman’s arrival

Because once Batman’s on the scene... that’s kind of IT for the Rogues, right? They have no chance of ever making it as criminals with Batman always there to thwart them.

Now, this being a constant state of affairs for Eddie, be it with Batman or without him - that works for me, because I think it fits his character that he’s just.... ALWAYS a bit of a failure as a criminal :p

But I feel like Ozzie’s character arc would work a lot better if he became a REAL CRIMINAL POWER, like proper Carmine Falcone level, that only Batman was able to take down

I mean - surely that would not only be emotionally satisfying for Ozzie’s character, but also for Bruce/Batman? Showing how badass BOTH of them are?

As it is... seems like Ozzie was... easily defeated/captured by the GCPD, only to be released and... immediately easily defeated/captured by Batman? So... doesn’t currently feel like Ozzie OR Bruce/Batman are being shown as having grown especially clever/impressive from that, you know?
