I’ve been playing Ken Ga Toki (Traditional Chinese version) for the last few days and really like it but haven’t had time to talk about it yet mainly coz I’m too busy trying to get thru all the newbie things so that I can roll that special ‘one try only, guaranteed SSR 10 draw gacha’ (UR is the highest rarity…)

There is one thing I’m rather disappointed in so far though - the main story is not fully voiced…

Don’t really have a fave character yet, but my starter (pictured above), Basho Matsuo, has grown on me. He’s a poet who’s actually a ninja assassin who works for Iemitsu Tokugawa.

The character I’m most interested in is Tadanaga Tokugawa (coz he’s voiced by Atsushi Tamaru!), but he’s actually supposed to be the final boss (I think) so have yet to meet him. I’m halfway thru chapter 2 right now and he was mentioned at the beginning of chapter 2 as having just committed suicide. Historically, he was Iemitsu’s brother and Iemitsu kind of forced him to kill himself…

Ok ok ok I’m finally posting a video of myself playing an original piece. This one is a bit different from all of my other compositions but I hope you guys still like it!

So sorry the audio quality is so terrible and sorry for my numerous mistakes, but this is the best I can do past midnight when everyone’s sleeping.

The piece itself is based off the Insen scale and directly parallels a haiku by Basho Matsuo:

A weathered skeleton; In winding fields of memory; Piercing like a knife

(Yes the original is in Japanese and no I do not speak Japanese)
