So in an effort to get people to touch more grass (which I assume ties into the initiative "Chodź na pole!" for those of you who speak Polish - yes, actual name, we love our stereotypes) my city recently unveiled stamps in the parks and a challenge book you can collect all of them in.
This seems like a super creative way to get people to explore the city more, and also to go outside to enjoy the weather, be it for adults or for kids. There are 78 parks in total (i think the definition of a park is pretry loose, it doesn't have to be a huge one) and the stamps are reflective of the park itself - it can be a vibe, it can be some building inside, or the statues etc. but they are recognizable so you won't get bored.
I love the idea in general, since collecting the stamps is so satisfying (the challenge is so popular that they ordered 1000 free books and those were gone from release Wednesday afternoon to Saturday morning), and since I was not able to pick up the free book after trying twice, I figured it's just a sign I should get creative and also use this as opportunity to use one of my "i got it because it's so cute but it's too cute to actually use" notebooks.
So the plan is to visit a park, read a book for a bit (or a fic!), get the stamp and then do some doodles - which i am bad at but it's for myself so who cares - of the park and of the reading so I remember what I was doing that day.
I got a first stamp today and did some doodles and I am happy about it! The read of the trip was "Catch and Release" by the fabulous Merinnan and xantissa, whose DMBJ works are all amazing and I have reread a few times, and am doing that now to get into the mood for the Mystic Nine show!
