CSS-only Sliding Menu

base code / simple preview

Aside from some built in transitions and CSS variables, this is a blank template to build your own menu content. To showcase what you can do with it, I've also made a customized preview.

This is made possible with :focus-within, which lets us select a parent element based on the (focused) state of its children, similar to :has(). Using :has(:focus) could have accomplished something like this, but this selector is specialized for this purpose.

UGHTHMS’ BASECODE - multicolumn

Finally, something I’ve been meaning to release since I started making my own base code! Here is my code that I use as the base to most of my themes.

There’s nothing fancy to this theme, just the skeleton; so customize it to your heart’s content! No need to keep credit, just if someone asks, refer them here!

hi! So I recommend looking at the official documentation for theme making. It's a good reference for what blocks and variables you can use.

I also made a base code that includes all the basic things your theme needs, including theme garden requirements. It's intended to be used for learning so you are free to edit as much as you want and release it as your own theme.
