i'm honestly confused by where you're drawing the line
you say that people who roleplay with east asian faceclaims are still participating in harmful behavior even if they don't use the krp tags. but by that logic, wouldn't that apply to you as well?
half of your indie muses use east asian faceclaims, and you're obviously not only writing against other east asian faceclaims. on top of that, some of those muses don't even have korean (or *insert according*) names, you use white names for them instead. so what's the actual distinction?
is the issue krp as a specific community, or is it using east asian faceclaims in roleplay? because those are two different arguments. right now it feels like you're holding other people to a standard that you don't apply to yourself
if the problem is specific behaviors within the krp community, then criticize those behaviors. but if you're saying that using east asian faceclaims in roleplay is inherently harmful regardless of tags or community, your own roleplay seems to fall under that definition too. peace
i never ever want my stance against krp to be misconstrued as an opposition to people using east asian faceclaims. that has never been a stance i have taken nor supported. this ask has a compiled list of posts and a helpful reply explicitly about not discouraging east asians in roleplays.
the original heart of krp discourse happened a lot of years ago, which is why i am asking if there is a current disconnect. here's a post from 'the great krp debate' tag where op discusses specific issues with the genre. here's a post where op defines krp and it's contributions to harmful stereotypes and othering of asian people, plus an inherent exclusion of bipoc.
on my indie, the handful of my characters who do have western names are from small towns in the us with names pulled from popular names in those regions specifically. for every one person on my indie with a westernized/"white" name, there are a dozen more with traditional names.
when i bring up people who are still partaking in krp but dropping the tag, i am referring to people who exclusively use and reply to east asians (which is what i said in the original post). i really have never said nor meant anything else when i say krps do not interact.
and again, speaking to this as a white person who wants to amplify the voices of people effected by it - i do not want to become the sole voice on the topic or overstep, but i do want to remain firm on this stance. krpers should not use my resources. people who aren't sure of the issues should read from asian muns impacted by this, linked above and found in the 'anti krp' tag.
