Word Count: 841 words
a/n: thank you for the request! :)
Requested by @dudinhasilvam
You walked in the front door quietly. You had your baggy sweater on and your hood up even though it was hot outside. You ended up getting beat up at school and you were trying to hide the evidence of it.
You did want to tell your dads because they were both super protective over you and you knew they would both go beat the people up who did that to you. You quietly went into your room and tossed your book bag on the bed when you herd someone walk in behind you.
"I thought I herd you come in. Didn't even come say hi to me, huh pumpkin." Barry said.
"Sorry dad. I'm just tired." You said.
"Alright but, why the hell do you have your hoodie on? It's like 90 degrees." Barry said.
"I just want to have it on." You said. You wouldn't turn around to face him because then he would see the damage on your face from the fight.
"Why won't you look at me pumpkin? Did something happen?" Barry asked. Rafe was walking by and herd the two of you and walked over.
"I dunno that's what I am trying to figure out." Barry said.
"Are you ok angel?" Rafe asked.
"Yes I'm fine ok!" You said and sat down on your bed still not facing them. Rafe and Barry knew something was up so they walked over to you and the second they saw your face you could tell their blood was boiling. Rafe gently pulled your hood down, the light hitting your face.
"Who the hell did this to you?" Barry asked.
"I don't want to talk about it." You said.
"Sweetheart.. you need to tell us who hurt you." Rafe said.
"No. Then you two will go beat them up." You said.
"Fuck yes we will beat those punks up! No one hurts my daughter and if they do they have to pay for it!" Barry said.
"I agree no one should ever lay a finger on your with the intent to harm our angel." Rafe said.
"Guys it's fine, it already happened just let it go." You sighed.
"This is not something we are just going to let go! Now please pumpkin.. tell us who did this to you.." Barry said. You sighed and told them the whole story. After you finished telling them what happened Barry and Rafe looked at eachother. You could tell they were beyond pissed.
"Should we go find these punks?" Barry asked Rafe.
"What do you think? Of course we are going to go find these fuckers." Rafe said. Barry and Rafe were about to walk out to go beat the people up but you jumped up and grabbed their wrists to stop them.
"Guys.. please.." You whined.
"Pumpkin.. you have to understand that no one, and I mean no one is going to get away with hurting our daughter." Barry said.
"I know you guys care about me but it's just going to make it worse." You said. Rafe looked to Barry.
"She's right Barry.." Rafe sighed.
"I- but- they hurt you.." Barry said.
"I know but still... I don't need you two to go beat them up. If you two really want to help me then just stay here with me. I won't lie I am scared it'll happen again but, they aren't here now. I just need my dads ok.." You said on the verge of tears. Rafe and Barry looked at eachother then sighed and pulled you over into a hug.
You sniffled a little and melted into their arms. They just held you close, trying their best to comfort you. Since you were their only kid this whole teen thing was new to them but they always said it was worth it because they got to have the best daughter.
"It's ok angel.. we promise you'll be safe." Rafe said petting your head.
"Yeah pumpkin, you don't have to worry, no one will ever hurt you again." Barry said.
"I love you guys so much." You sniffled.
"We love you too angel." Rafe said kissing your head.
"So fucking much." Barry said just holding you making you smile. You looked up at them.
"So, you promise not to go beat them up?" You asked. Barry and Rafe looked at eachother.
"You know we can't make that promise pumpkin." Barry said.
"Yeah, we need to protect you." Rafe said. You chuckled a little and hugged them again. You knew even if you told them no that they would go beat them up anyways but it's just because they loved you so much and you were grateful for them.
a/n: hope I did this request well lmao. Feel free to request!
a/n: hiii christmas is in a few days and thought this was a cute little blurb :) happy holidays to you all no matter what you celebrate!!! i love you stay healthy and safe <3
he never liked the holidays growing up because his family never spent it together and he never got an actual christmas growing up
so when you got together and he learned how much you loved the holidays he was a bit nervous
he was so in love with you and did everything he possibly could too make you happy so he made sure he would do the same about this
as he exhaled the smoke from his lips he grabbed his phone from the table in front of him as he saw your picture pop up on the screen
“ hi baby!” he heard your voice say as he clicked the accept button and put the phone on speaker
“hey baby girl, what’s up?” he said curios as to why you called and why you weren’t here with him
“we’ll i was wondering if you wanted to spend the holidays with me this year? an before you say anything i know you don’t like the holidays cause of your family and how it was for you growing up and if you want to spend it with just me and you for now that is fine we can do that or we don’t have to celebrate at all you just let me know what your comfortable with okay?” you said knowing he would be hesitant
“ah fuck it i’ll spend it with you and your family.” he said knowing you would never do anything to make him not feel welcome or included
“you sure?“ you said not wanting to make him uncomfortable
“yeah mama i’m sure. i love you.” he said
“i love you too b so so much!” you said as you tried to hide your excitement
“i’ll see you tomorrow so we can go christmas shopping!!” you said trying to make this barry’s actual first nontoxic christmas experience somewhat exciting and memorable
“what-i have to go shopping? babe i-” he said knowing how you lovedddd to shop
“byeee” you said before hanging up before he could protest
“ughhhh shes so lucky i love her…” barry said as he rubbed his forehead
you were their at 10am the next morning ready to pick barry up for a whole day of shopping
to be fair you brought him starbucks and food so he was happy that he didn’t have to shop and have an empty stomach
you had too drag barry out of the car when you arrived at the mall but it was definitely worth spending time with him and shopping for eachother and your family
after a long day of shopping you had curled up in bed and fell asleep listening to each others heartbeats excited for this new experience
when christmas had finally come around you both got ready having smoked a blunt that morning to try and calm barry’s nerves and headed over to your parents house to see your family
to say the least your family loved barry and he loved them
your little cousins adored him and wouldn’t stop asking him to play with them which didn’t help your constant baby fever you had with him
but your mom and dad had pulled you aside to say they were happy for you and they definitely thought that he was the one which made your nerves completely disappear
you guys had decided to spend the night at your parents house
“so what’d you think?” you said as you layed in bed together and watched the snow fall outside
“you know you and your family might be the only kooks i can actually say i like.” he said smirking down at you
“we’ll im honored and i’m sure they would be too.” you said as you leaned up and pecked his lips
“i love you so much y/n.”
“i love u too b.” you said as your ran your fingers through his hair drifting to sleep in your comfortable silence
summary: two years with barry what could go wrong? oh yeah hes a murderer-
warnings: some angst, marriage proprosal oop-
you had originally begun acting because it was the only affordable option to get you some time away from your family. ya, you still lived with your family.
anyways, acting became kind of like a release for you. you had been going for about 4 months now, you loved everyone you worked with, they were such great people.
then one day, barry berkman showed up,
and basically changed your life.
the first day you saw him, your heart basically feel out of your ass. holy shit was this guy hot; tall, mysterious, and awkward as hell. perfect.
you took him under your wing, immediately engaging with him and bugging him about his person endeavors and whatnot. you two became inseparable, youre bascially the only reason he even uses his messaging app.
you showed him the ropes of LA, giving him tours of sketchy venues, shitty Chinese restaurants. you always felt so awful for him, dragging him around to every place.
"I'm sorry, barry, im just trying to give you the full LA experience"
"its ok, being seen with the prettiest girl in LA isnt so bad"
yeah, one thing led to another, and you had moved into barry's apartment a year after. your relationship was strong; you cuddle, argue, fuck, all of that modern day romance contraband.
everything was exceptional, other than the fact that he was dragging his feet on marrying you...
yeah, you had dropped some major hints. wedding magazines everywhere, leaving honeymoon deals up on the desktop, evening face timing your friend and talking obnoxiously loud about the idea of getting hitched.
tomorrow was your two year anniversary, and you two had been buzzing about it all week, all the lovey dovey language and such.
"babe, tomorrows the day" he squeezed your shoulders from behind you. you were sitting at the coffee table, and he had just served you toast. "i know old man, didnt think we'd last did ya?" "first of all, im only like four years older than you, second" he kissed you on your temple "i knew you were the one."
in the midst of sipping your coffee and passing back and forth news papers, barry’s phone begins to vibrate; the name “Fuches” catches your eye. who was fuches and why did barry have to step out of the room to answer it?
when he came back he looked ghostly, his complexion pale and his lips quivering slightly. “all ok?” you ask, trying to sound lowkey; “uh um- yep. just have to head out for a bit, they need me at work.”
he left abruptly after, grabbing a hat and his black coat. weird. it was the middle june.
you hadn’t heard from him all day, except for a text at lunch that said
barry: Won’t be home tonight, dont forget to lock up.
your heart sunk, the day before your two year. i mean really what was his damage? you didn’t realize how hard it was to fall asleep without him, you tossed and turned until you eventually caved in and called.
ring...... ring.....
ring..........ring......
‘hey! it’s barry berk-uh um block! leave a message if you want to i guess um ok bye howthefuck do i turnthisthing off-OHH!’
oh how you missed that dorky man, true, it had only been a few hours but his touch was your saving grace. the line beeped and you decided to leave him something
“aha hey bar, y/n here. beds cold without you. miss you. be safe.”
the night way cold and long, you were drifting to sleep. but you heard the front door jangle. you sleepily run down the hall way and run straight into barry. you hugged him, his bosy was stiff and he was trying to inch away from you. "bar!" you whined looking up at him, his nose was bloody and he had a black eye.
“bar?” you wiped his cupid’s bow, the sleepy haze quickly wearing off. he pushes past you “just fell, please just wait for me in bed.” by the time you caught up with him at the bathroom, the door was already shut.
you heard the shower turn on, and you could hear him faintly hiss in pain. he was in there for a while, by the time he got back you could hear the birds chirp, which means it must have been close to 5 am. the sun was still down, and you watch his dark figure slip into bed next you to.
“i love you.” he whispered
“i love you too.” you turned to face him, you knew something was up, you knew he had been hiding something.
“you always leave in the night, when i’m sleeping you always leave barry. is it another women?” barry’s face contorts into a confused scribble. “y/n what? you’re the only one.”
“then why don’t you tell me what you’re really up to. go’s we’ve been dating for two years and you can’t even tell me why you sneak away in the night?!”
barry grabs your hands and puts them close to his face “god y/n i’m sorry happy two years” he gushed and kisses your fingers. a tear trailed down his stubbly cheek. “there are just things i can’t tell you because i don’t want to lose you.”
this hurt you, barry knew all of your deepest secrets, the things you never told anyone other then him. all of this had you worked up, how could he speak to you this way the day of your two year mark? despite his protests, you packed a tooth brush and drove to your friends to stay the night. this was just too much for 3am, you needed space. to clear your head.
you didnt sleep at all that night, you nodded off from 8am to 10, your friend waking you up. "girl i know you dont want to hear this... but barry is outside, hes been parked here since 9" she threw your jeans at you "now go outside and work this shit out, im not prepared to deal with your heart boken ass."
so you put on jeans, and headed for disaster.
you came outside, 'sleepy always looks so good on her' barry thought to himself. you loved him so much, it was so hard to fight with him.
"listen bar, im sorry im just sensitive you know th-"
"y/n"
barry never interrupted you. for as long as you remember there has never once been a time where barry talked over you, or interrupted what you were saying. its something you loved about him, he always seemed so interested in what you had to say, he thought your words where so important.
"yes?"
he pulled a rolled up magazine out of his pack pocket, it was yours, it had faded circles on what cakes and dresses you wanted. he unrolled it and scurried to the 5th page. he pointed at the big raise ranch that you put exclamation points next to.
"this house, i want this house."
he went to the 8th page.
"and this car, we could have that if i stop going to wendys so much"
he giggled to himself and mumbled something about how he knows a guy that can re pair a cooling system.
'uh-um ok barry, what does this have to do with anything? house, car, is this what you drove over here to tell me? you want a better car? you need a bigger house."
he shook his head and trialed to the second page with that beautiful sheath wedding dress, you remembered that.
"youll wear this yeah? some time in the early fall. wouldnt that be nice, still warm, and the leaves-oh the leaves- orange and yellow bring out your eyes so i just figured."
he pulled out the rock, and shit, it didn’t disappoint. you’re not materialistic but what the FUCK?! how did he even afford that-
he slipped it on your finger and you both embraced. messy kisses all over whatever skin you two could find. it was bliss, it was happiness.
you hugged for a while. just sat there reflecting on how far you two had come, and how happy he was going to make you feel for the res rod your life. it’s crazy, you thought marriage wasn’t in the cards for you. but with barry, you can see 5 kids, a dog, and a stupid picket fence.
you were so captured in this moment, you didn’t notice barry’s demeanor change. you looked up and him, he was pale white, staring behind his shoulder at the street. you leaned over his forearm and saw a beat up mom car.
in it was a shaggy dude, didn’t look too much older then barry. he was plump in the face, and his face was aged.
“fuches!?” barry exclaimed.
“come on. we have a hit, i habe your sniper in the back. now.”
Request: Could I possibly request an imagine where the reader leaves Barry having found out she was pregnant, but she has the baby months later, intending to never tell Barry until she accidentally runs into him. He then begs her to give him another chance as he swears he's changed. Sorry if it's too specific.
It’s been waaaay too long since I wrote for Barry! Also, everyone loved dad!barry so much last time, and all the comments were incredible, thank you so much! <3
Comments are always appreciated and welcomed!
Warning, some strong language!
‘Shit. You have got to be fucking kidding me. Why the fuck is he here?!’
The audition had already gone horribly. The guys sitting at the table in that drab, soulless room had huddled as soon as you had finished your monologue, their faces hiding from your view. You tried to shoosh your baby, waddling him to your chest and tucking his little blue bobble hat further down his tiny head, but you could still see the raised eyebrows and displeased sideyes from the panel.
Storming out without even leaving down your details, all you wanted was to get home and cry for a little bit, putting little Ryan down for a nap and enjoying just a little bit of alone time before Mr Cousineau’s class began. Walking through the grey offices, the dim lights casting your face in shadows, you headed out towards the main road. Stopping by the front door to rustle in your bag for the keys, you shuffle Ryan slightly over to your hip, balancing haphazardly on your foot for a few moments before finding solace by staring out of the window of the high-rise. Ryan, however, hadn’t appreciated the movement, and as you made to go, his cries started ringing out through the entry hall.
You hadn’t fully noticed, but the man sitting behind you had. The one whose hands were almost shaking as he held his paper, looking over his lines. The one who felt like he was sitting in a morgue, the air-conditioning so strong he could feel it on his forehead and on the palms of his hands, fast-freezing his sweat. The one with the dreadful, bleary bloodshot eyes, the one who hadn’t slept in weeks, not properly, not since you had left.
Barry had noticed.
‘Shit. Shit! Y/n? Y/n, is that you?’
‘Shit. You have got to be fucking kidding me. Why the fuck is he here?! You cannot seriously still be trying to be an actor. What, after what you’ve done? Are you kidding me!?’
He ignores you, mostly, as he stands up, patting down his jeans and walking slowly over to you. His eyes, wide and alert, are trained on the baby hiding his face into the side of your stomach, and he can’t stop his hand from shaking a little as he asks, ‘is, is that him? Is that our son?’
You don’t give him an answer. In fact, before you know it, you’re feet are out past the sliding door and hitting the sidewalk, car completely forgotten from your mind. The only thing rattling, screaming in your mind, is how you have to get away, far away from the man who kills people for a living. The iron-railings of the closest park, all but invisible in the inkiness of the dipping sun, are soon behind you and the tall concrete buildings loom in the distance. It takes you a moment to hear slight panting beside you, and as you slow down your jog, you nearly go weak at the knees to see the shocked face of Barry only slightly beside you,
‘Look, just leave us the fuck alone, okay Barry? I don’t want any trouble. Just leave us alone.’
Barry doesn’t stop following you though, his face smoldering underneath his stony expression as you glance back at him with eyebrows furrowed in worry. His feet fall in step behind you, glancing around with squinted eyes to make sure no one was watching the three of you, feet tripping slightly against the uneven pavement as his shoulder bumps into a streetlight. It’s only when you reach the next intersection, forced to stop at the red light that he finally dares to speak.
Grabbing onto your shoulder tightly, almost without meaning to, his whisper rushes out like a puff of wind. ‘Please, Y/n, just let me see him. Or her. Just let me see them, please, that’s all I care about. The last few weeks have been torture, literal torture. Please-’
He stopped when bright green eyes found his, like pieces of bottled glass, and Ryan laughed, as only a baby can laugh: a sweet sound unblemished by the hurts of life as he stuck his thumb into his mouth, hand grasping onto your shirt in a tight fist. His little face glowed from a light within, and he stared up at Barry, surveying him with his inquisitive eyes as if he knew. He knew!
Barry’s heartache was was like a wolf eating at his chest, tearing it's way to his trembling heart. It threatened to devour him, eat him whole and leave nothing but scraps behind. The ache of longing to be with the little bundle in front of him echoed through the very marrow of his bones, and he couldn’t help the cry that escaped his mouth. He never knew, never knew that missing someone he had never met could take over every fibre of your being. It felt like a torment even he was unprepared for.
Then it started. The shaking. He didn’t care about the curious onlookers, he didn’t care what people would think, would say about him. He didn’t care about Fuches, about Gene, about the acting class, about himself. Only the laughing child giggling in front of him. All he can do to stop himself from breaking, is whisper a soft ‘please, please’, over and over and over again with an ever increasing fervour. When the sound finally hits his own ears, he falls to his knees.
‘If getting past the pain means forgetting you, then I choose suffer my entire life, Y/n. Please, I’ll do anything. Starting now, I’ll do anything.’

Requests: “Could I request a Barry Allen Valentines day fic, please? :) Maybe Barry is trying to make a really romantic/special day for reader and work keeps getting in the way each time they get together? Love you and your fabulous writing. 😘” (Credits to gif owners!)
Try 1: The whole point in Barry bringing you to a Valentine's dinner a week early was because he wasn't sure if something would come up on Valentine's Day itself. It was a mutual decision to go out a week early and just spend time together. So the first try at a date was when Barry was going to bring you to dinner and then a movie.
But he called and explained he couldn't because there was a bank robbery and he needed to be there. You understood, you weren't so disappointed. It was something you were both mentally prepared for so there was no big deal.
So you shrugged off your nice dress and dressed in your pajamas while watching T.V. until you fell asleep. Barry showed up at your house later looking upset as ever and regretting choosing the bank robbery over you. So you explained he couldn't help it and it's his duty as The Flash to help people. For the rest of the night Barry held you close, and he didn't know it but you considered it a date.
Try 2: Two days after the bank robbery, Barry was excited to tell you that the movie you wanted to see was still selling tickets, except there would be a romantic Jitters rooftop dinner. That was exciting. So you got ready together, just like you did everything else. Barry was excited, you were excited and everything was going great since he turned his phone off.
"Tonight is about you. Whatever is happening in the real world can wait for the night." He promised and kissed your nose. "And you look beautiful." He complimented the dress you were supposed to wear the other night. Your cheeks turned red and he continued watching you put your makeup on like he had never saw such a thing before.
You ended up seeing the movie before dinner and you were really excited because it was better than you thought it would be. Dinner was quiet and intimate. Just the both of you smiling and eating, talking about how your week was going and bringing up the interruption from your cancelled date the other night. You forgave him even though he grabbed your hand and kissed your knuckles and apologized repeatedly.
Until Cisco made his way to the rooftop awkwardly and rushed. "Hey uh, nice...date." Barry was angry and you just looked down at your plate. "No need to panic...but there's a shooting at the CCPD...Joe is inside." Barry pushed himself out of his seat, there was a beautiful red streak where Barry had disappeared and returned as The Flash. You understood, his adopted father was in the building. He had to help him.
Barry made his way to you and caressed your cheek, the cold leather making your skin jolt. "You okay?" He kissed your forehead. "I'm so sorry-"
"No you have to go, the man who raised you is in that building. If you didn't want to go I'd have to make you." You assured him and Barry was gone, your hair whipping around your face and the napkins from the table hit you in the arm.
Cisco chewed his fist and you knew he felt bad. "I can help you clean. Or help you eat it." He offered. When you pointed to Barry's empty seat, Cisco became jittery and took Barry's place, helping you eat through the table of food.
Try 3: You were starting to feel suspicious when Barry showed up in your bedroom late last night. You woke up to him stroking your hair and caressing your cheek with his thumb.
"What are you doing here?" You asked with your voice filled with sleep. You rolled over to face him, you could tell he was tired. It was late and he should be asleep from kicking ass everyday of the week.
"I feel really bad about everything that's been happening. Come on. Walk with me." He held out his hand that you willingly took and he helped you out of bed.
So your date was uninterrupted, nothing special, just a walk in the park. Holding hands and talking. Everything was casual and relaxing. "This is all I wanted. I just want you to myself for a while. Is that too much to ask for?"
Barry gave your hand a reassuring squeeze. "No it's not. I'm all yours right now. Whatever you want to do."
"It's like one in the morning." You laughed and he was soon joining in. "I mean I think I was having trouble sleeping anyway." You ran your hands along his chest.
"Well technically it's Valentine's Day. It's one in the morning on February fourteenth. Maybe you want to get started early?" He grinned crookedly.
"That sounds promising." Was all you said before you were in his arms and making your way back to your house.
So maybe you didn't need a fancy date, but you needed Barry. And at least an hour of his attention on Valentine's Day. Your date was a walk in the park and spending time with him. It was as simple as that and you asked for nothing more, nothing less.
Request: hey love!! could you maybe write something about barry being touch-starved and the reader picking up on it and giving him tons of physical affection? hugs, playing with his hair, etc? maybe during a good cuddle session, reader finds out he’s ticklish and he’s never been tickled before so reader decides that’s another form of mandatory affection he’s gotta experience?? i love your fics, tysm in advance if you decide to write this xoxoxo
Thank you so much love, I am in need of as much Bill Hader fluff at the moment as possible <3
All comments and requests are much appreciated!
It was just that sort of place in L.A. The sort of small, tucked away unaware place where nobody really pays any heeds to the daily going-ons, seeing them as a usual cycle of muted nothingness in the blur of the big city. But there’s a certain darkness that lurks in the hearts of the residents, a kind of chill that makes the adults tug their children a little bit closer to their chests as they walk home from yet another uneventful day of school, a kind of paranoia that some things have not yet come to pass. That some things had been done, that nobody could erase.
Luckily for you, you didn’t have to think about that just yet. What was to come. What has already happened. Instead, you brush your feet against the light carpet of Barry’s bedroom, leaning back against his desk chair and pretending you don’t hear the slight shouts of the theatre group guys he’s sharing with from next door. Your head thumps against his cream walls as a sigh tumbles out your lips, your pyjama shorts rising up your thighs as you watch Barry asleep on the bed, his head face down and squished unflattering into the pillow, his gangly limb spread starfish against the whole mattress. You nearly knock his pill bottle off his desk as you sit up, glancing over at him. His back trembles as he breathes, his hair fanned out over his thin pillow as you walk over to him with a small smile gracing your lips at the set of your boyfriend, happy to see that he hadn’t woken up as you pull his lumpy blue mattress up to his shoulders, your fingers resting for a moment, splaying against the expanse of his back as he whines in his sleep. He had been exhausted last night when you had been watching the movie, his legs entangled with yours, still blushing and shy and all pink cheeks and sparkling eyes as he glanced down at you, his hand clamping down tight against your shoulder as you lay upon his chest, still so unused to this intimacy.
‘Y/n, are you sure this is okay? I don’t want to make you uncomfortable’, he would whisper, as you snuggle further into his chest.
‘Barry, we’ve been dating for six months, don’t forget that I want to snuggle with you.’
He smiles at that, a rare smile that usually only lights his face in your presence. As the night went on, you could feel the fringes of his hair tickling your cheek, his chin bumping against your forehead as he began nodding off to sleep, despite the fact he would furiously deny it every time you would gently tap against his chest to wake him up again.
You walk slowly away from his sleeping frame, pushing the plastic windowpane until it flies open into the soft gold rays of the morning light, a grateful smile bursting onto your face as your eyes squeeze shut against the gentle spring breeze that caresses your sleepy face like the warm tide of a deep azure ocean, the sounds of tweeting robins jumping from branch to branch like a couple of childish lovers filling your heart with peace. A peace you hadn’t felt in the longest time, and feared you never would again. Tumbling back over, you sit on the corner of his bed, your hip smacking into the side as you thank everything you could think of for letting it now only be the start of the weekend, and for allowing Barry to get the rest he deserves. You place your hands on his hips, sighing gently into the silent morning as his arm still rests dead across the bottom edge of the pillow, his fingers reaching and clasping in his sleep over onto your side, searching for you against the cold cotton, a small tic he would never allow himself to do when he was awake.
He looks so young, so peaceful in his sleep, you think, as you lean down to rub your hands down the bare naked skin of his shoulders, chuckling lightly to yourself as your soft massages that dig into to the tensed muscles earn you a low, sleepy groan. A deep, thankful groan you hadn’t heard before. You smirk, leaning down to press your chest firm against his back as he tenses slightly, his eyes beginning to flicker behind his eyelids as you trace a path from his thin dimples down to the plush fullness of his lips. He wakes up with a loud grunt, with you facing him. He’s always surprised when you wrap your arms around him, always stiffens with wide eyes when you gently stroke the curls of his hair away from his eyes, but over time you had managed to get him familiarised with the normality of tenderness. He flops hid head down further onto your side of the pillow with a sick thud, his forehead coming to rest gingerly but tenderly against your own as he breathes out deeply, your familiar smell comforting as his arm finds its way around your waist again.
‘Good morning’, you whisper, your finger coming up to lean against his chin, tracing over the dip of his lip, brushing softly over his stubble as his eyes blink open again, burning as they gaze into yours desperately. Slowly, he manages to shuffle his naked thighs further along until you’re completely chest to chest, your hand running down to massage over his wide shoulder as his laugh fans over your lips warmly, your hand whirling down to itch against his back.
‘I suppose we could snuggle here a little while longer’, he whispers happily, running his fingertips through the long strands of your hair, letting it flow through his hand. It felt like such a foreign thing for him to say, and it felt a bit jolted and stiff leaving his mouth, but you appreciated the sentiment, and he appreciated the response.
A contented, lazy groan escapes his mouth as you laugh in reply, warming the tingling skin of your collarbone as you mumble ‘it doesn’t matter, you’re not going anywhere anyway’. Before he has time to question your meaning, one leg wraps over his waist like a big cuddly koala bear, soft whines protruding from his plump lips as one slender arm finds its way to cup your side, snuggling into you as you lower your head against his thumping chest.
Almost painfully slowly, he leans down until you can feel his breath warm and hurried brushing against your opening lips, until he dives in, all worries and fear being tossed out the door as his lips dance painstakingly against yours. His hands rush up to cup your cheeks, desperation evident in every caress as he runs his fingers down to your neck, leaning over you suddenly so you’re eclipsed by the magnitude of this man, the utter devotion pouring out of this desperate being. You swirl your fingers against his hips.
Knocking you suddenly out of your daydream, a burst of uncontrollable giggles stream out of his throat in a melodious stream, your back hitting the mattress as he thumps you off, his eyes widening as your mouth begins to open.
‘Barry...are you ticklish?’
‘No! No. Of course I’m not! No, no n- AH!’
Thin motions against his hips cause him to jerk involuntarily. You gasp suddenly. amused at his childish throaty chuckles as he gazes down at you, before his eyes suddenly widen in shock as his bottom hits the floor, having inched too readily away from your hands.
